Back to back 8 win seasons for the first time since 89 and 90. I have some disappointment about this year but we did something for the first time in 35 years.

At halftime, who on this board would have put money down, even at 10 to 1 odds, that our Defense would dominate second half play and win this game for us with no help from the Offense. I am in awe at how well they played and completely turned around their first half subpar performance. Great game guys, so proud of you.

I don’t care how it happened. I don’t care how pretty it looked. We got a win, the hat, and 8-4. Much needed after a ROUGH 2 weeks of Illinois sports.

I'm glad they held on. And 8-4 is about what I figured at the start. But I thought the floor was 7-5 and that felt pretty achievable all game long.
