I disagree. BLJ was handicapped by horrible blocking schemes. Luke toward the end of the year was frustrated with the way he was playing. A healthy Laughery would have helped greatly. Lunney did what he could with limited resources.
Will Laughery ever stay healthy. Given his history, I wouldn't count on it.

Lunney's good enough if we're ok with finishing in the middle of the big10 year after year. We need an upgrade if we are going to start finishing in the top and start making the playoffs. I'm thankful that the football program has risen to where it is after years of languishing at the bottom but now we need to make some changes to get to the next level.
I think the biggest change we need to make is in the Jimmy's and Joe's - Which it appears we're making a step in that direction as we speak... I think BLj is good - perhaps not great, but good... What we need is more talent... We need to be stronger, faster, and smarter. Coaching can only go so far. Players have to have those characteristics, so that good coaches can teach them to be smarter and make them better...

I can't help but wonder what our offense would have looked like if had a good o-line.
