LET'S GO BOWL-ING!!!!

Congrats to Bielema, Altmyer and the entire team and coaching staff for a great game, especially turning the defense around!

At halftime when it was 14-7, I thought to myself, "Okay, we've been here before." Illinois led at halftime last week also, but fell apart in the second half. THIS time, they played ALL 30 MINUTES of the second half. And it didn't take overtime for the "W"!!!

Whatever bowl we get to go to, I'm more confident we'll get a win this time.

WHAT A YEAR!!! WHAT A TEAM!!! :D:D:D

I ended up watching the game at a Michigan bar (genuine accident lol) and it was a pretty hilarious good time. A couple highlights:

Comments from the Michigan fans including “Brett Bielema always looks like he’s constipated” and “not sure why they’re cheering, this is their first decent season in 15 years”.

Realizing that the whole bar sings the Michigan fight song after every Michigan touchdown and taking it upon myself to solo belt the Illini fight song after our 2nd touchdown 😂.

All in all, most Michigan fans were pretty friendly and it was a good time. ILL

And there were people thinking Illinois should have been 10 point dogs (wont name names here).

Great win on CBS, in front of a national audience. This win is huge on so many levels. Sure there is stuff to clean up, but it was so refreshing to soundly beat a ranked opponent at home.

Let's make a game in Eugene!
Some people on this board have no idea how college football works. What a WIN

BTW when was the last time the Illini had two QBs that are better than Michigan's starter
This is what is interesting with all the money scUM has they couldn’t get someone else. Texas destroying them doesn’t look as impressive anymore

Either they thought they had a better qb or they spent their money elsewhere

Yeah, we need to stop rushing the field
I remember another major Div-I football game - not Illinois - might have been a bowl. At the end, right when the clock hit :00, in big letters, the stadium scoreboards all switched immediately to say STAY OFF THE FIELD.

It didn't help. :LOL::LOL::LOL:

Literally my only complaint, haha. Also, due to where our students are, the field rushes are SO slow and thus a bit too lame. Three times in a year is enough, haha.

With that said, GREAT bounce back game after Purdue and a wonderful job to rise to the occasion for this special game. Let’s go give Oregon our best shot.
All true…but I’m prepared to give them a pass this time. Lol. It’s kinda tacky. But, the students can’t really help the orientation/the geometry of the place. Also, this win is a BIG, BIG deal for a number of reasons. They’re new to this. It’ll get better.
