Today was the most intense atmosphere at Memorial Stadium since 2002 when UI took OSU to overtime (and lost).

This crowd was into it and screaming from the start. Illinois seemed to be in control for most of the game but I was waiting for the ceiling to cave in like in previous seasons.

Illinois started driving nails in the coffin when UM failed to score a TD late in the third quarter to get the game within one score. UI blocked the field goal. All that long, time consuming drive for no points.

What a great day. Next week is a tall order, but I feel like there is more than a glimmer of hope next week.

I’m very pro-rushing the field (I find it an awesome tradition and not silly), and I’m all in all not too worked up about this storm.

Purdue last week, though? A bit embarrassing, haha.
I think last week was more of a 'Holy Cow, we actually didn't crap the bed completely and lose like we have done the past 37(?) times in that same situation!!! Let's rush the field in celebration for getting that monkey off our backs!!!" Today was a once in a lifetime win, 100 year celebration.

how do the referees mess up a ball spot by 4 yards ?
Maize and Blue goggles
This was filmed Friday during the rededication ceremony, wait to the end..
JW called it.

He is starting to establish himself as among the greatest AD in Illinois history. Certainly in my lifetime only Neale Stoner was as good for rebuilding and general program success. Whitman is probably better when considering all the facilities upgrading he’s also been able to accomplish with the Trustees.

After watching the post game pressor, Coach B talked about Leary throwing a strike on the 2pt conversion, and then walking off like it was nothing. I noticed that watching the highlights before, and even though I was at the game, I didn't see it. That is indicative of culture right there. Those guys believe in coach B, how couldn't you

That was an absolute low key dime by Leary... but to what you're saying we definitely playing as cohesive unit!

There was a time in our lives we had John Groce and Lasagna boy as our head coaches at the same time. We have Bret Bielema and Brad f'n Underwood cherish it.
Be careful, If we lost it was beans and weenies…there was a lot of beans and weenies 😩

Just had chance to watch Coach B speak I almost teared up with him. I came back 6 years ago in August. Mom was dying of cancer. I brought my youngest son with me. I was fortunate to get him in St. Teresa in August and he ended up going 38-3 in high school football. They welcomed us in Central Illinois and St T family pepared him. Mommas are a blessing and to have family and community around us. all of us is a pillar of Illinois. I hope we fly into Eugene on Thursday if that's allowed? Would be helpful with time change, sleep, and legs for our Illini.

Just got to watch the full highlights for this one and listen to Brian Barhart's final call. Great day for the program and fans! Great job by CBS as well; many iconic shots. As an alum, I'm really proud and grateful for JW's and BB's commitment to the University.

Serious congrats on the win guys, LOVE IT! The cheaters are going to wake up unranked and that just warms my heart.

My Huskers just looked terrible yesterday but I give some credit to Indiana....that's an unexpectedly good team

My son and d-i-l work for U M. I'm still waiting for his call/text/whatever to say how well IL played.

I was thinking of sending him a one word text yesterday:
BWHAHAHAHAHA

I chose to take the high road for now. I have two grandsons that I want to see in a couple of weeks.
