After the first series of the game, our O-line seemed overmatched. They ended up being the unofficial co-MVP.

What a huge program win. And in a great tv timeslot with a highly entertaining second half for the casual viewer.

Great stuff!
It’s unbelievable how the first three plays OL and the remaining game OL seemed like different units, right?!

Bielema definitely taunted the SC sideline. No doubt about it. But it’s fun when it’s our guy doing the taunting.
I don’t think he was taunting. It was in response to Beamer acting like an idiot. The way Beamer was acting, I’m not sure he understands the substitution rules

When Bret did it the second time, he kinda put his hands up in a shrugging motion. To me it looked like he was saying what’s your problem?

And for those that think he was exploiting a rule, well the rule exists for a reason. If an offense subs late, the defense has a chance to respond. Offense chooses to change personnel, defense gets to match it.

Beamer shouldn’t have been subbing late. Bret owned him today.

Wow, year 4 for Coach and 10 wins! Time in NFL and married dad, does wonders. Man can coach and players love him. Amazing accomplishment. Happy New Year Brothers and Sisters. Be safe and successful.
I just remember how many people on here were so against him being hired . It was a lot .

Bret was hardly well liked in Illiniland

When Bielema came on the field to check on an injured Illini player near the SC bench, he gave the substitution signal in Beamer's direction. He knew that Beamer was mad, and Bielema wound him up.

Given how Beamer was acting all game long, I don't really have a lot of sympathy.
Thanks, so Beamer was upset Bielema was on the field, then BB turned the knife a bit?

So very proud of this team! Nothing fazed them, they just kept plugging away a step at a time. In addition to the guys like Luke, PB, Jacas and Cox that deservedly got so many headlines, I am really grateful for guys like McCray (fumbles in end zone...even though it wasn't a fumble, and then becomes the MVP), Laughery and Beatty/ They just kept plugging away and making play after play when their number was called. A healthy Laughery and McCray make for a dynamic running attack.
If the guys I think will return do return, I am really excited about this team next year! But for now, I'll just celebrate shutting up that maniac Beamer and those ridiculous SEC mouthpieces. Great, great win...magical season!
