This is a tremendously important win for the program, fanbase, and coaching staff. The previous two weeks were just so bleak. The season seemed dead and gone. The momentum of last year was all but annihilated. Yet, out of nowhere, we put up a competent performance, snuck out a win in the dying seconds, and now have multiple winnable games ahead of us. There's hope again. There's possibility. There's a pulse.

My Illini brother altgeld88 and I were there, and we were able to move to seats we wanted because attendance was so poor. Sad for MD, they were 5-1 and it was homecoming, and there were not many people there at all. MD fans were also leaving with 5:00 to go in the game. However, it was a fantastic game for an Illini to attend! There were boisterous I-L-L-I-N-I chants, and the rain even held off for the entire game.
Feagin is like a Timex, nothing flashy but will keep you on time. Our offense looks so much better when we can consistently rush for 3-4 yards per attempt and get us to 3rd and manageable.
I learned two things today @BZupke is a sage. He caught a lot of crap in the pregame thread for his prediction and he was right. Also, looks like Vegas had the line wrong but good thing we established their goal is to get even money.
