I don’t think you’ve been paying attention recently. When Tennessee scored I looked at the clock and score and felt pretty good. The ball in Luke’s hands. The way this offense moves the ball. The number of times they’ve come from behind and won close games the last few years. The table was set for them to do it again.
It’s crazy really. In a bowl game against an SEC team, down 1, closing minutes and we had plenty of reason to believe. The ways things have changed under Bret is unreal.

This victory was especially sweet because it seemed like Tennessee was talking garbage every chance that they got...and we just kept our cool and stayed with the task at hand.

I love how LA said, twice, that the Big Ten is the best conference in the country and when talking about the Illini, said, "Put some respect on our name!!!"
I know the game plan was to control the clock, which Illinois did extremely well. But I thought the defense with few exceptions played well and did not give up any huge plays.

I have vacationed a lot in the Pigeon Forge area during football season. The locals are totally nuts about Tennessee football. This loss was probably a bitter pill to swallow for the locals.
