What a game. What an effing game. For the 2nd year in a row beating an SEC next tier team in imposing Bielema fashion. Taking the ball down the field on a final drive just knowing they can't stop you.

I know how easy it is to see the warts in the losses, and how much the 30+ years of Illini inferiority complex PTSD rears it's head, but man, if we need to take anything from these past 2 years to heart, it's that we belong on that football field. We can compete and win. We're good enough to be an 8+ win B10 or SEC team. And we are witnessing something truly special.

Bret and Josh, what a job they've done. Absolutely unbelievable. They have a lot to get done for next year to keep this momentum going, but at this point, hard not to believe in them.

And Luke, man am I going to miss him. Just a legend. I've said he's the best QB we've had since Kittner. But after what he's done these past 2 years, I think he's the greatest Illini QB in my lifetime. His heart, his toughness, his leadership, his clutchness, and his loyalty. Just incredible stuff.

What a player. What a team. What a past 2 seasons. Thank you all. Couldn't be prouder.

We have a program. I don’t know what to do with my hands.

It is impossible to express how big Luke was for this program. He’s in rarified air. He should be mentioned with the all time greats here. Not just at QB. I trust Bret, but my god it will be a challenge to replace him.

I loved the uniforms.

19 wins in 2 seasons. Lovie won 17 in 5. Beckman 12 in 3.

Damn.
