It lasted all of a couple minutes.

I would love to watch that back with Mike Tressel and try to figure what his mindset was there. That is literally the last combo coverage I would have ever called on that down and distance with that Wr outside. I should focus on us but it’s so baffling I can’t get over it.

I’ve watched the game winning play about a dozen times now. The running back makes a great block on a blitzing LB. Without that block, Peters can’t roll out, and the TD pass never happens.

Holy cow. I wonder what the odds that my Dvr recorded even half of the 4th quarter are. Not good I’m guessing. I heard a good part of the first 2 1\2 quarters and nothing indicated a comeback was brewing.

Nice catch.

Brandon runs a lot of plays, like the screen pass early in the game that he completely fails to sell but this one he sold perfectly. Leads the underneath defender out of position and delivered a strike. Beautiful.

I've watched the final play about 12 times tonight. Number 25 makes an awesome block on a rushing backer. Doubt Peters can roll out to make that TD pass without that block.

That was my biggest fear that the school up north would screw us out a bowl. NOT NOW pussycats. I Confess I NEVER thought we had a chance at the end of the third quarter. WE ARE BOWLING MAN!!!!

Checking in from Austin here. Dallas usually looks pretty good in December, although not so much last year. The NHL Winter Classic is moving the First Responder Bowl to SMU’s stadium, which is quite a bit smaller than the Cotton Bowl. Might be a tough ticket?

Gotta give credit to Brandon for getting off that bad pick and moving forward. A lesser player would have crumbled mentally but he shook it off. Big time.
