Illinois 37, Michigan State 34 POSTGAME

2nd half biggest play (touchdown right before halftime)? 4 and 16 catch? pick six? dre getting caught up at the ten and pushing to the 1? the ref actually giving us a pass interference call? like, on on defense and one on offense? i mean... this was like finally ridding us of so many demons...

I really appreciate all of you posters for being so kind and gracious re: Dantonio and the Spartans. Keep showing that class! Victory is sweet, but so is good sprortsmanship.

All of a sudden, Illinois ain't a butt of jokes. I like it plenty.

I was gonna say pre-game that Peters was fine as QB. Can I say it now?

This team will be remembered fondly, not because they won the conference or made it to the Rose Bowl but for the way they’ve won. Unbelievable comebacks based mostly on turnovers and clutch plays. They have a certain magic which is an element of every great season.

I'm getting a kick out of reading the MSU board on 247. Lots of posts calling for Dantonio's head. Funny stuff.

You want funny and a bit sad read the game thread here. Not exactly the finest hour for quite a few fans on here. If you thought you felt an earthquake tremor in the first half it was just a lot of people jumping off the Illini football bandwagon and throwing just about every coach and player under it.

Lot of people complaining about that PI at the end of the game. It may have been a little iffy but as I said during the game, you have to understand situational football. If you make non-ball contact on a play in the end zone, more often than not a flag will come out and you as a defender much be cognizant of that. I understand it may be iffy but have no sympathy for anyone blaming the refs for that ending. You have to understand situational football.

We were driving up to Chicago area for tomorrow’s Bears game and listening on radio. Pulled off just north of Bloomington to listen to end in a gas station parking lot. Pretty sure we scared some people as the vehicle got real loud and was shaking after the td. Holy hell. Whitman might just be a damn genius.
