Flat second-half start by offense despite getting good field position twice. But Luke’s big third-down throw to Bryant was a thing of beauty and led to the Illini pulling away.

Luke has some great passes and didn't get sacked today......Funny how when he has time to pass how accurate he is.......
the D played their hearts out today , stopping the run and getting numerous sacks when they went to a 4 man DL and blitzed sometimes.....................

Really elated at where this program is. Real questions about whether we'd go bowling this year. But good coaching is putting us over the top.
I know there’s a lot of praise to go around to a lot of people (present and past) about the turn around at Illinois, but I don’t know if Bielema could possibly get enough credit for it. He’s been a godsend.
Think this is as big as any win under Bielema. Now let’s go win the last 2!!!

This is the first time Illinois has beaten both Michigan and Michigan State in the same season since 1983.

I found the game to be monotone, really no enthusiasm until halfway thru the 4th quarter against a not so good MSU team. It just seems to me the Illini have lost that fire ever since the blowout to Oregon. I am happy they won but I still see the same ole things. The defense having trouble getting off the field on 3rd and long and even a 4th and long. They did come alive in the 4th quarter. Still trying to run up the middle on 3rd down. I guess it is too late in the season to change anything or maybe the coaches don't know any other plays.
I am hoping to can at least win 1 out of 2 but hoping for 2.

Given where we've been, it really never gets old watch Illinois just be straight up better at football than a Big Ten opponent, particularly a non-hopeless one.

He isn’t one of the headliners, but I appreciate Hank Beatty catching and returning all 6 punts by MSU. He took some heavy hits, but he gave his team decent to good field position all day. Not having to start drives inside their own 20 is important for this Illini offense.
