Do you guys think the ball moved, or do you not know that the ball can touch the ground and still be a catch?

FYI for other fans reading, this is misleading to the point of being mostly wrong. The ball cannot touch the ground DURING the catch. It's got to be clearly secured, so it's rare that you're going to see the ball touch turf and be a catch.

This really is a significant accomplishment. Exactly what I've always asked for when it comes to Illinois football - let's just be Wisconsin or Iowa year-in and year-out with the occasional 9 win season.

Honestly, I didn't expect this year to be the 9 win season, yet Bret had the team ready to win every game they should have won (and maybe a couple they shouldn't have). This is not the most talented Illinois team ever (or even in the last few years), but Luke and Pat elevated this offense to new levels while the defense made key plays and takeaways all season long.

Big kudos to the staff, the players, and everyone involved in this season - it has been a really fun ride, and really looking forward to beating Alabama on New Year's Eve in Orlando. Let's keep the momentum and orange vibes flowing! I-L-L!

I would've preferred a 7-5 season so that we could play in a 💩ty bowl and be competitive... NOT!! I'll take 9-3 and a chance to play Bama all day everyday!!!!!!! I-L-L!

That article is stupid.

I can't even say this season has been fun because I'm still in a little bit of disbelief.

We have a solid nucleus of skilled position players to build around next year. The QB, running back, tight end, and defensive back rooms are solid, and should be even better next season with more experience under their belts. The young receivers looked good in limited play, and hopefully can develop like Williams, Washington and Bryant did. Kicking, punting, and special teams play in general should also be a real strength. I would like to see an upgrade, or at least more competition, for both the offensive and defensive lines during the off season. Play along the lines has been way too inconsistent this year.

yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss..............9-3 has a very good vibe and sound about it........It's been an awesome regular season for the Illini , especially considering the injuries we had , with Feagin being a big loss early on......................But this has been a gritty bend but don't break defense and a very productive offense , scoring 38 points in the last 3 consecutive games..................

Laughery with 180 + rushing yards and 3 TD's....................watching him break a run with his speed is a joy to see...........
Luke A. had a productive day with a TD pass and another TD on a QB1 sneak..................
MVP Pat Bryant with a TD , tying the great Brandon Lloyd for most TD receptions in a season at 10 TD's............He will be playing in the NFL next year for sure......................
Secondary with a couple INT's to stymie the mildcats........................

On to a major bowl game and we should finish the final AP poll in the top 25 , probably @ # 20.......................
