:illinois:t’s good to be us. Thank you Josh. Thank you BB. Thank you to the team. Thank you to my brothers and sisters, whom I envy, who cheered us on in frigid Wrigley. What a remarkable season. What a joy and blessing to be on the O&B side of it.

Warm up, those who braved the cold! I’m in southern Virginia for the VA Tech v. Virginia Commonwealth Cup game. It’s 32. Kickoff is at 8 ET and it’s forecast to be 29. So it’s balmy compared with Chicago at noon today.

Four Roses in a flask will see me through. Love this team. Love our university. Love college football. Love our country. And I haven’t even begun drinking! 😂

Much to be thankful for all around this weekend.

This really is a significant accomplishment. Exactly what I've always asked for when it comes to Illinois football - let's just be Wisconsin or Iowa year-in and year-out with the occasional 9 win season.

Honestly, I didn't expect this year to be the 9 win season, yet Bret had the team ready to win every game they should have won (and maybe a couple they shouldn't have). This is not the most talented Illinois team ever (or even in the last few years), but Luke and Pat elevated this offense to new levels while the defense made key plays and takeaways all season long.

Big kudos to the staff, the players, and everyone involved in this season - it has been a really fun ride, and really looking forward to beating Alabama on New Year's Eve in Orlando. Let's keep the momentum and orange vibes flowing! I-L-L!
Perfectly stated. My thoughts exactly.

What a season!

Being a fan since the slush fund makes an old person appreciate this excellent season even more.

Being a fan during heartbreaking losses makes a fan appreciate games like Purdue and Rutgers even more.

Congratulations to coaches and players!!!

I wonder when was the last Saturday that ILL won and O$U lost.

Twice this year. Today and Oct 12 (Oregon loss that was my ride home game on radio from Champaign).

My oh my, if not for Minnesota loss. Every team we beat is .500 or better with the exception of Purdue,Northwestern, EIU, and Kansas, I believe. 3-2 against top25. 9-3, what an awesome season for Illini football. Let's get a great opponent for bowl game and win for 10, W's.

Coach has written a hell of a story this season.

And there’s still a few empty pages left.

A toast to all of you, for our reaching this milestone together.

After many - many - years of humiliation, you gotta stop and savor every freshly baked winning gameday in this, our current Illini Sports Renaissance, one that I believe will carry us, one victory, one smiling post game interview, one winning season, one trophy, one banner… at a time, into the late chapters of our lives.
