Great. A lot more one-sided than I thought it would be. :)

I can't tell if Illinois is better than I thought or Murray state was worse than I thought. I'm leaning toward Murray St was worse.

Run D I think will be just fine this year...I think Pass D is going to be an adventure this year.

I hope I'm wrong.

There were some good plays made today by the Illini. They need to clean up a few things, but in general a good start to the Lovie era!

I thought Reggie Corbin looked really, really quick. Yes, he came in after Murray State was gassed, but he was noticeably the quickest offensive skill player I saw today.

Even after he was caught from behind on his long run? I thought Foster looked very fast on his two td runs. Turner looked fast catching up to the long td pass and outrunning the db.

Quick, not fast. He doesn't have great straight-line speed, but I thought he looked really shifty.

Tre Nation looked good as well, for a true freshman. Ran with some instinct. Can't wait to see this team play next week to see where we are.

Happy for all, but have to give credit to Foster for sticking through it and he looked really good today and may play a big role throughout the year

As a side benefit, it probably will keep GHD away from here for the year since he will not wont to admit that he was wrong shot Foster ever seeing the field for us

Fun fact: The score was the exact same as our opener vs. Kent State last year.

I said 60 - 0 and it was 52 - 3 with the Illini with the ball on about the 5 yard line of murray state and ran out the clock.

I also called for a 77 yard field goal attempt. Only 49 so I missed that one.

Great job Illini!!!!!!!!!!:illinois:

Much improved team. Much better coaching. Giving players the chance to show what they can do on the field? What a novel idea. ;)

Perhaps it's the kool aid, or one too many beers, but for the first time in a long time I saw a team with an identity that knew what it wanted to do and did it with discipline and purpose. The players played with great confidence every play. I didn't see any of them take a play off. It's as good a start as we could have hoped for. Let's see what happens next week under the lights.
