I could hear it on the TVWas there a single ILL - INI chant initiated back and forth by either the student section or cheerleaders, last night???
If there was one, i missed it. Watching the Ohio State game, and the OH - IO got me thinking about it.

I guess there are the quick ones that take place after a first down; but nothing that is prolongedI could hear it on the TV
Last year had very little HC turnover. Think we'll see the opposite this off-season.Get used to him, because he's your started next season, IMO.
That was a beautiful throw. I immediately took notice. That's something Luke doesn't excel at.
Spend the $$ on OL and a little on DL and maybe a CB. Illinois is going to need it. I've mentioned before he's the type of QB Bielema likes and tends to be a good fit.Last year had very little HC turnover. Think we'll see the opposite this off-season.
Could correlate to some really talented guys hitting the portal. Think we swing hard there.
Could be. I admit it is silly to make any sort of predictions about who is going to be starting for anyone next year.Last year had very little HC turnover. Think we'll see the opposite this off-season.
Could correlate to some really talented guys hitting the portal. Think we swing hard there. I don't see an organic Illinois commit becoming a full year starter until Carson Boyd redshirt sophomore season.
Though I will admit, Hampton could be a great stop gap next year with an offense that's completely new and multiple starters to replace on the O Line.
They open it so the fans cannot throw a full beer can on the field or at players. That’s what a server there told meI think it has something to do with liquor laws and selling for consumption on-premises. No bar will give you an unopened beer either
This has been the policy for a number of years, and it is in place at most professional and major college football stadiums. I’m sure we are going to have many questions like this from fans that took a few years off from attending games at Memorial Stadium. They open it so the fans cannot throw a full beer can on the field or at players. Look at all those believers of OSKEE and WINT.
Sorry to disagree, there is growing evidence, and I agree with, that says slding feet first leads to more injuries than a cover-up and go down. I think the slide is fine as a means of giving yourself up to end the play, but if a hit is apparently coming, covering up and diving down is better. That does not open the QB for targeting type hits. Those can still be called. IMHO, sliding at the last second is a big mistake for safety and it's too difficult to correctly enforce when there is an unnecessary hit. It is unfair to the defender as well. Too many times they have been hit with a penalty when it was the QB's fault.Nice to win by 49 and not use more than 1 page of the playbook.
My only complaint is Luke needs to be reminded to not go headfirst again first on runs. He has to slide unless it really matters in a tight game. Got to keep him healthy if this season is gonna be what it could be.
