So proud of these players and staff! Had such a long crappy travel day and flight delays plus bad connection forced me to mostly catch the last 6-7 minutes. And even through UH’s run, I just never felt like these guys were going to allow the lead to be lost … something has changed since that players only meeting, and these guys are an absolute privilege to watch! Such a great game for Brad’s career, too, that will hopefully begin to make Loyola a distant memory in the minds of the college hoops world … because the guy has deserved more recognition for a while.

WOOHOO!!

I said in the pregame thread the key to this game would be FTs.

Then dominating them on the glass. That was the most impressive thing tonight: 37-25.

IL out-toughed Houston and I doubt that happens much to the Cougars. Not a pretty game but the right mentality. Beating Houston at their own style of game says a lot about this team.

One more to go. And 2026 Iowa is way different than 2024 UConn

Could you imagine our fans if that was the free throw disparity, yet some on here complained ALL GAME.

Someone put on the thread earlier the War Chant and I played it over and over. What a game. I told my wife hit free throws we win by 20. Can't look ahead. As Brad says, he came to Champaign to win a National Title. Mashburn is terrible.
