You know I've been thinking about this a lot and I think we put too much stock in how he influences the game. Aside from not handling doubles well, even when he scores he takes too long to get to his spots which makes it easier to double as well. He's still young but has to refine some things if he wants to be as dominant as he's naturally capable of being.

Yeah, I hate this era for this. Between this and the end of the Indiana game I now worry about him.
They came out of halftime and decided they wanted to win the game. Plain and simple.

Dain obviously isn't Kofi, and they have completely different skillsets, but Kofi had many of those same problems when he first came to Illinois. I'm confident that Dainja will make the necessary improvements over the next couple years.

In Dain’s defense, neither could Mayer or Hawkins. I believe both of them had at least one turnover in first half when they got doubled in the paint. NW does it well. Dain just needed to make a move right away or pass it out. He was waiting, holding the ball and then trying to take a couple rhythm dribbles before trying to make a move
Great game, but I will say the trend of the opponent's best player going off for a career night is getting a bit concerning.
RJ was 2-4 with 6 boards. Nothing spectacular, but he didn’t take away tonight, and that feels like a big step forward
