I’ll preface this by saying we didn’t play very good at all. No cutting, lots of settling, missed free throws, playing too slow, etc, but the rotation today was a HUGE mess.

I get trying to give guys opportunity to try and provide a spark but the way guys were used was baffling. I don’t understand how Ty sits for 10 mins in the first half, dominates and then sits the last 14 mins of the game. Ty is one of our best five players. I understand Harmon was +23 , but he was 2 for 7 from the floor. Some of his mins can be distributed. Also, understand Goode is one of our only shot makers, but him and Domask on the floor is not very good defensively (see Northwestern).

I also don’t understand the playing the same guys the last 10 mins of the game. Also wish we would try a lineup of Ty, Harmon, Domask, Shannon, Coleman. Frustrating to see the last few games after the way we were playing in December.

Not a graceful display in the kitchen whatsoever… A lot of equipment that needs repair. But in the end, we managed to bake Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers.

I don’t know it’s maturity or optimism or schizophrenia, but a calm voice in my head that sounds like Morgan Freeman is telling me: “hey pal, we’ve hit a little stretch of ugly play and bad bounces at the rim. No big. Much better now than in late February, March. Have I ever told you the story of Andy Dufresne?”

We did what we had to do. Just barely. But a baked potato is one you can eat (and savor).

Enjoy your weekends, fam.
