Excited for the guys... always kind of been a negative Nancy with the NIT but would be cool for the guys to get to travel and take it down.

Wasn't pretty but they finished strong. On to a bigger and better win! Too bad it won't be ISU. As an alum, I was really looking forward to the match up.

BOOM! Feed my ego.
UCF has a guy who's 7'6", 300 lbs named Tacko Fall. You don't see that everyday. Good luck, Mav.

Way to get to 20 wins! Now let's go win the NIT for the seniors!

It will be interesting to see how Coach Underwood gets involved in the next couple days. I think he will be respectful of Coach Walker and stay away from game prep but he will engage to some degree. Won't he?

Only with the recruits. Which is wholly appropriate. Tracy himself just said on radio that the team is focused on 16'-17', which is exactly what they are supposed to be doing. Underwood wasn't born yesterday; he won't disturb that.

Doubtful. The game is Wed so not much time to prep and travel. It's not like they are changing to his system or anything.

He's not exactly a fast twitch athlete nor is he skilled or much of a runner. He's really good at catching lobs and standing in one place in UCF's zone on defense. He's susceptible to ball fakes as well. UCF has some quick guards that can shoot and if they get by you and force your big to help, it basically leaves Fall all alone for the put back.

I believe Underwood said in an interview that he wouldn't have any contact with the staff or the players until the season was over. He didn't want to be a distraction. That and I'd bet his plate is primo full. He has to get his staff picks in place. He has to move. He has his kids. He's got recruiting. And when the season does finally end, then he'll have conversations with staff and players.

Yeah I think you're right. That's where he can have the most positive impact on the future. Meanwhile Coach Walker can bring this years team across the finish line.

For me it is simple I like watching the Illini win. Nothing more than that. No analysis necessary other than it wasn't pretty. Doesn't mean anything for next year. That being said I would love three more wins this year.
