Question: last fresh big you saw play defense without foul issues? Ok, other than Maryland.

Teske and Kofi both led their teams in scoring, banged all game and only had 3 fouls between them. Kofi's lone foul didn't come until 3 minutes left in the 2nd half. Beast or not, that's mighty impressive for a freshman.

Let's get Tevian some minutes against Dominion. We're gonna need him this year.

Kofi seems to be able play the bigs clean, but pick up tricky tack stuff on the perimeter. If the data backs that up I imagine teams will try to pull him out there more being so dominant inside. Hope he’s prepared for it.

Just finished watching the game late. Thank goodness y’all we needed it so badly...when Ayo plays well we can beat anyone because you know cockburn is just a freak and will show up

Very impressive defense the last 2 games, they will win a lot of games with that.
I needed that one

Was in attendance for tonight’s game, biggest take aways:

1: Kofi’s free throws were more clutch than it may seem. Did not expect him to hit at the rate he did but a very nice surprise.

2: Defense was shaky at the 3pt line early on on Teske, but Kofi adjusted fairly quickly and after Teske air-balled, was a non factor there. Overall very good defense. Better than I expected.

3: Even though turnovers were down, felt like we were still loose with the ball in key situations, but ultimately fought through it which is something we hadn’t done until tonight.

4: Ayo shows a lot of potential but looks like he’s forcing things and maybe looking TOO much into running the offense as designed. Multiple times was just left wide open at mid range and thought he could’ve just pulled it, eventually did it half way through the second half for a big bucket.

5: Rebounding was huge, AG after seeing it in person, gets AMAZING jumps on rebounds. Seemed like before it hit the rim, he already knew where it was going.

6: Would like to see us find open 3’s from passing the ball rather than iso/off the dribble.

Ultimately a lot of things to work on, but an amazing win none the less and think we righted the ship here.

Great win, probably our most complete game of the season. Didn't allow Michigan to go on any crazy runs.

Also, proud of the Orange Krush for not rushing the court considering this game felt like a toss-up going into it rather than a huge upset. Not like that ridiculous Penn State court storm after they won a game they were literally favored in.

I know where you’re coming from but at the same time I’ve never been to a court rushing game so I was selfishly hoping for it 😂

When was the last time any UI team ended up with only 10 fouls in a game. That is amazing.
The refs were letting them play which was nice. Bigs were able to play basketball underneath. UM was able to get away with a ton of moving screens by Teske last night - which is a bit annoying as it was 75% of their offense and supposed to be a point of emphasis over the last few years - lots of spread legs, moving screens, etc.

It's interesting to see what we can do when we D up and UM doesn't shoot 95% from 3.

Kudos to Kipper for the help D and aggression - seems like the the combo of Kofi/Giorgi has helped take some pressure off of him and he's enjoying the role.

Oh, and for crying out loud can we get a better press break scheme? Run to the corner and throw the ball to the guy who just ran to the corner is fraught with problems as we've seen for multiple games now.

Offensive rebounding was visibly impressive. Very few second-chance points
Ayo's speed in open-court on display.
Unable to shot the 3 and few assists a cause for concern
Appears every B10, home and away is going to be a battle.
If K and B bang like they did last night, we should be in every battle.

I'm proud that the kids stayed off my lawn. Not like the ridiculous kids back in the day that played on my lawn.

Good win for sure. No doubt. Ayo has to play better moving forward though......
