This video is embarrassing. Again so many uneducated folks out there that are making more people uneducated. How did this guy get 11,100 followers on Youtube? Seriously, I'd like to know. It's obviously not because he's particularly perspicacious.

Enter dumb blonde jokes! Only could take 2 minutes of this before shutting it off.lol, youtube recommended this to me. Oh how wrong he was. #ILL
that's what you get when you take full year statistics and ignore recent momentumlol, youtube recommended this to me. Oh how wrong he was. #ILL
Harmon's also a great FT shooter, good option for end of game scenarios, Goode is only so so from the line.Harmon's shot is off but he's been mainly put into games to defend. Goode's shot has been there during the B10 and NCAA tournament. Just clutch 3's at the right time
Also won as a 9 vs 8. Don’t remember year or opponentCorrect me if I'm wrong, this is only the 2nd time we have beaten a team seeded better than us. The other time was beating 4 Cincinnati as a 5 seed in 2004
He had that weak outlet pass as well, which got picked and i *think* led to an immediate three.Rewatching the game. In addition to dains lapse of thinking he was TSJ on his run to the basket, he also had the block under the basket that remained inbound but Dain just stood staring down the ISU player. Got to be locked in for next game. Can't have mental lapses
It was less weak than it was just way too far.He had that weak outlet pass as well, which got picked and i *think* led to an immediate three.
Someone already corrected me. 2011 vs UNLV. I forgot we were the lower seed. Hard to remember with those 8/9 gamesAlso won as a 9 vs 8. Don’t remember year or opponent
But very rare for Illinois. Let’s make it more common with a win Saturday night
These are also the people who have voted for TSJ to be third team all American. Many of these same media people should only be reporting on what happens on the court, yet continually bring up the accusations without context or facts. The same people who some folks here say to ignore, also have a major influence over future recruits and transfers. It seriously hurts the brand. If you think the media narrative doesn’t matter and to just change the channel, you’re missing my point entirely. The only real way for TSJ and the team to force media coverage and program respect is to just keep winning.Simple solution: Don't watch the postgame shows on TRU/TBS/TNT/CBS.
I turned immediately over to BTN after the game ended, and the coverage was all about Illini in a positive way. Why do so many of us care about what the national media/talking heads think?
I don't believe having a player earn 3rd Team instead of 1st Team seriously hurts the brand, either at the program or individual level. These are also the people who have voted for TSJ to be third team all American. Coleman: “I want a steal, too!”The diving steal attempt by Coleman after TJ's steal and dunk was just one of the most fun plays I've seen all year.
The absolute last thing that Iowa State player was thinking when he turned with the ball was that a 6'10" guy would be bearing down on him like a missile trying to make yet another steal.
It is completely in line with the identity of this team. I love it!
Alabama went through the same situation last year. Low and behold, they didn't miss a beat. Let it go and let people say what they want to say. These are also the people who have voted for TSJ to be third team all American. Not according to Drake, the tool, C. Toll. After rewatch, the better team won. Let's cause some chaos tomorrow
I respectfully disagree with the Shannon take. Prior to the incident, every broadcast was pretty much touting him as first team All-American. Don’t think some voters, who I’m sure are named somewhere, didn’t want to be associated with him. On March 14th, CBS posts an article projecting him as first team and he ends up third team. There are some lists that he didn’t even make third team for I’m sure the same reasons. It’s a shame, he definitely earned 1st team at worst 2nd team.I don't believe having a player earn 3rd Team instead of 1st Team seriously hurts the brand, either at the program or individual level.
I also don't think the voters' minds work that way: "TSJ is really great, I'm gonna vote him 1st or 2nd Team, no wait he has that sex offense charge, I'll make him 3rd team." It seems much more likely that if voters were conscious (or even not) of that thought that they would have left him off entirely.
There's no bloody conspiracy against Illinois!
You mean the broadcast networks were touting him for 1st Team, but the voters weren't because they didn't want to be associated with him, yet they associated with him anyways by signing off on him being 3rd Team?I respectfully disagree with the Shannon take.
