Boy, that charge/block call on Ayo was huge. Surprised that was a block but Curbelo drew a charge earlier, if I'm being honest.

Damonte... the ultimate glue guy. Loved his defense on Liddell. Might have to see more of that if we meet in the B1G Tournament.

Somewhere, though, Dickie V is still alone in a room, rambling about the Flying Illini to no one in particular....

Oh stop. We finished 2nd in the toughest conference in America. We beat Iowa and Ohio St head to head. Our NET, SOS, Q1 wins are all better than those two. We have the best win of anyone in college basketball at Michigan by 23 points. Neither Iowa nor Ohio St can say that. There is nothing left to prove. We are a 1 seed. Some of you put too much in conference tournaments. They don't make much a difference unless you are a bubble team most of the time. Doing something in 3-4 is not better than doing it over 3-4 months.

Easier to call if we had just delivered wins at MSU, or Maryland, etc.

But.. We can say we have beaten the top of B10 on the road in the last week

We'll see what we can do with tourneys.. can't wait.

At Wisconsin(senior day) , At Michigan , At Ohio State(senior day), all on the road to end regular season...How many teams in the NCAA think they could run through that schedule and win all 3 , Special , Special team and HELL YEA - Coaches and Players ! Be Proud and Humble and Hungry, still a bunch more to prove moving forward One game at a time....
A season thus far , for the ages unfolding in front of us , Good Times Illini` Nation ..You All Rock !

I think we did deserve it. Looked bleak for a while, but our guys had the confidence and character to make plays down the stretch when they had to. Mark of a good team.
