I get it, a nice win but everyone needs to take a deep breath here and keep things in perspective. Do you realize Coach K is coaching his last game against UNC at Chappel Hill tonight????
Thanks for reminding me. Perspective is important.

I believe this succinctly captures this afternoon in Bloomington. Cover photo on latest Inside the Hall post The Minute After: Illinois

What an impressive and dominant road win! So much to be excited about:
1. 13 of 15 roads wins - we have no fear in going on the road and actually seem to be driven by road kill!
2. Largest margin of victory in the wanna-be Assembly Hall ever!
2. Incredible player management - BU has done a great job of juggling lineups, filtering in the Freshman, keeping Coleman motivated and sticking with guys to work through issues (Grandison's rough 1st half and huge back to back 3's in the 2nd half).
3. Team Defense - .68 DER in the 2nd half, are you kidding me ... on the road??? TJD goes 3-9 for 6 points (way overrated) and Thompson goes 5 of 13 for 13 points. Indiana shot 35.7% and 23.1% from three.
4. Ball Movement - the play in the 2nd half where they worked it around the horn and DMW dropped the 3 was a thing of beauty!
5. Trent Frazier - his two-way effort today was magical! Pitbull energy on defense and his crossover pull back 3 broke ankles from the court well into the student section! I think I heard Robbie Hummel even scream in pain!

I hope everyone is truly enjoying this season as much as I am. We have battled through so much adversity which I am confident will make us battle tested in March. More importantly, the team's culture seems to be special! Best of luck in Purdue but let's enjoy this ride! :shield:

My two favorite Kofi moments:

1. Him taking a very low feed into the post then kicking it out for an assist on a three. That took skill, vision and BBIQ.

2. When he took a shot to the sternum and still blocked the shot. Just great disciplined defense.

Things like this show he isn't just a great athlete or physically gifted, he truly basketballs.

I thought the IU fans wanted the Hoosiers to foul instead of letting us run down the clock. Maybe they just wanted to make noise, but obviously couldn't cheer?

Two of the biggest smiles I saw from Kofi today were when he assisted from the post on a Trent three and when he caused a turnover on a defensive hustle play in the corner. Dude’s a straight-up winner!

Except Kofi. Big guy was laboring late in the 2nd half. Understandable considering how many minutes he played.
I wish Payne were a little better.
To me he just needs to block out better on defense. He’s starting to show signs here and there so I’m encouraged :) Go Illini!

He's no 3. He cant shoot outside of 15 feet or so. He could be a 4, but even most 4s are supposed to shoot outside sometimes. I'm a little shocked he hasn't developed an outside shot. Seems like it would be pertinent to him making to the next level.
We are talking about a sophomore

Have we ever started B1G play 10-2? Last two years we made it to 9-3, but this is pretty insane.
Going back to when Lou took over in the mid-'70s through '05 [EDIT: updated via Illinois Athletics Records book, so it's accurate]

1983-84: 10-2 (finished 15-3)
1986-87: 9-3 (took it to 11-3)
1997-98: 10-2 (finished 13-3)
2000-01: 10-2 (took it to 11-2; finished 13-3)
2003-04: 9-3 (finished 13-3)
2004-05: 12-0 (finished 15-1)
