I’ll say it again…this is gonna be a fun team to watch, and I’m excited about their potential. They won’t be perfect, but I can see this team being a real hard team to beat in March. They’ll have off nights and ups and downs…but I plan to enjoy the highs and take the lows in stride and enjoy this season all the way through.

Tag teaming another team with Tomi and Big Z is almost an unfair advantage when they are both healthy and feeling it from 3. Now if we can get them to improve their rebounding positioning and fight for contested boards, watch out. Our upside with this whole roster is huge when the Illini compete like they did in the second half. That is a Final Four team. Miss or not, I liked Andrej going for the slam dunk punctuation point. Brad was amused too, even the Vols fans were entertained by the coach's hug.

Ament is a great example why to not spend heavily on a underdeveloped freshman.

A one year player that'll regularly get outplayed by older players in that 1 year you have them

Why I like Brad concentrating on the cheaper 3-4 star guys in high school and take advantage of more developed, older college players & professionals overseas with check book

Thinking about when we make shots AND rebound for a full 40...

Just heard a brief clip from ESPN on how Tennessee shoulda won this game. Oh, wait, Illini were more competitive. Lol

Different times then. Sportscenter pre 2007 or so was a great program. The fact ESPN chose shows like First Take over SC tells you all you need to know about what they’ve become…🗑️

Hummer did a lot of the little things that wont show up. I know 92.7% of this board hates the kid, but he was the glue down the stretch.

He also did a lot of things that show up including 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.

Seems like we got a glimpse of what the rotation will be like. 6 guys that played the majority of the minutes with Davis, Z, and Petrovic filling in. I think Z probably gets more minutes depending on fouls and game flow. Petrovic I really hope he can get his legs under him because he showed he can really get past guys off the dribble and make plays.

Love the huge fact we shrunk our lineup and minutes today. Ben has been doing awesome on defense. 3 huge blocks and 2 tie ups tonight. Other men will come along as they get healthy, if not enjoy paycheck and front row seats.

Guys making open looks they missed vs Bama and Uconn really changes things. A lot of the same looks from the same guys. They are good shooters but when they fall it really changes things. It's fun when they fall and they will. Plus refs found the whistle the last 5 minutes and called fouls down the stretch.

It's the channel I constantly had on in the 2000/2010's. Going from being the pioneers of the ticker to this? It's been years since I watched a full Sportscenter episode (n)

The problem with Humrichous last year was his defense was sub-par (often bullied) and his offense was hit-or-miss at best. His offense hasn’t changed this year but his defense has. He's been incredibly active. All credit to him for leaning into that end when the other end remains elusive.

Hell yeah!!! What a way to come out after halftime. Strong showing and lots of fight.
The best part of this win is that we are coming together and learning toughness, grit, and how to win.
A distant second best aspect of this win is not having to see all the bozos and naysayers on here that frequently bring nothing but doom, gloom, and negativity.
Kudos to the coaches for obviously maximizing the 8 days of practice time.
This team is for real and is only going to get better throughout the season.

Cam Christie 2.0. League loves those 6"6 wings who can: handle, shoot, attack, guard, rebound. Has the whole package.

Absolutely the best player on the court 💯
Realllllly hope we can have him more than one year. What a player as a freshman. Rare to have that kind of player that can hit the 3, play good defense, grab the rebound, then take the ball back up the court…and all the more so as a freshman. That exact sequence happened tonight. He is such a mature player.

Their 12 TOs, some unforced, offset their board advantage and was a Godsend for us. Glad we took care of the ball against a physical, handsy defense.
