Not to completely dwell on it, as we won and it's a very minute thing, but I really did not like the play at the end by Stoj.

It's a 12pt game, 36sec, shot clock at 18... UW not even looking to foul... and he goes in and gets blocked. Fast forward and UW has a shot to cut it to 6 with 16sec left. Yes, they missed, excellent contest by Z, but game should've been over right then and there.

To me it signals playing for the stats. He had the exact play against Penn State too when the shot clock was OFF.
Everyone in the building knows he’s driving. He could be one on 5 and it’s not getting kicked out. I think he’s frustrated to say the least. When he slows down around the rim and makes a second move, he usually scores and/or kicks. Need more of that. I also hate his shooting form. Shoots it like he’s left handed but with his right hand.

The amount of games any team feels like they lost when they don't have their best player.. What are we talking about?

Uninspiring win to say the least against a physical but really mediocre husky team..............If we played @ purdont like we did tonight then we don't win that road game.............we started out very slow which hasn't been a problem lately but then run off a nice stretch to take the lead and never give it up.............

Waglar with 22 points...........
Mirko-Man with 19..........
Ben H. was the player of the game to me with 14 points , 4 three pointers and a great effort floor game......Good game Ben........

season record : 18-3
B$G record : 9-1

Reasonably predictable letdown game. What's below "rock fight" on the ugly basketball scale?

Props to Keaton, Mirk, and Ben. Everyone else, not so much.

What is with our live fans?! We've lost home court advantage with respect to our spirits. That place is hardly intimidating.
I’m curious— to get a seat in the Orange Krush, do you need to raise money to earn your seat? I think that was the case a few years ago. If so, the group may not be comprised of the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic fans but rather ones that know someone to write a check. I guess the same applies to a good number of the seats in the SFC…

Wagler was stellar once again and Ben had a great game off the bench. While Mirk didn't have his usual rebounding game his offense was key and I thought he did well considering he had to deal with Steinbach a lot of the night. I swear that guy has the reach of someone 7'6. I've seen him in some other games, he is a rebounding machine.

The Krush has done a lot of wonderfully good things in the past. I am not sure if the level of giving to the community has continued; not that I doubt that it has, but just am not as aware as I once was.

That said, it just seems like the athletic dept. should take a look at what they can do to ensure the most rabid student fans are able to get close to the floor. Krush needs to get back to being an intimidating part of the program, because they have been far from it lately. Our home games are quieter than most of our neutral site games with regards to Illini fans in the building.

Guess we were 6 for like a split second, but other games results shifted the metrics again and now we're slightly ahead of Houston.
Yeah it was weird because like you I saw 5 initially and was just curious to see if anything changed and when I refreshed we jumped to 5.

I feel crazy for writing this, but this might be my favorite win so far. Slow start, very physical opponent who could match the Illini’s size and even missing FTs. Tomi 1-8 from three, and all but one wide-open looks.
Washington playing as well as they can for long stretches and their big guy every bit as good as advertised. Oh, and no Boswell.
Yet other than spotting them 7 points, I never really thought the game was in doubt. It was Ben’s turn to shine, and he didn’t flinch.
To me, that all adds up to this being a really good, deep team that just handles business. I’m not sure we’ve seen 40 minutes of their A-plus game yet. That should be a scary thought for opponents.

Not really a let down game….calling bulls&t on that! Just a normal big ten tough game! Washington brought a game … we won!
Not our best performance, but good teams find a way to win! Kept a lead most of the game! Take the win and enjoy it!

I felt they had multiple friendly rolls while we had a lot of misses around the basket. The score was never really indicative of the game being played.

Good Ben tonight, but Bad Jake. Everyone just contributes and works hard. People know their role and execute it. It's been a lot of fun to watch so far. Wagler and Mirk have been so good for freshman.

The meat of the schedule is upon us. Very, very difficult games in difficult venues upcoming. The A+ games showing up now would be ideal.
