Don’t underestimate what a big win like this on national TV against #2 does for recruiting.

Been following Illini sports for 60 yrs(yeah, I'm old) and have seen some great efforts. This was a totally great team effort. They showed a lot of heart tonight.
Congrats to the kids , coaches and everyone involved. Fun to watch these guys. Go Illini!

If the B1G made it's decisions based on merit, they would give Illinois a co-championship if we beat OSU and Sparty beats Michigan once, leaving us half a game up in the standings, (though with a lower win percentage).Just want to point out how comically cocky some UM fans were, ASSUMING AYO PLAYED. Lol, sit down, Michigan. What a win!
It’d really make for a nice week if Michigan imploded and lost to Sparta twice, and we won at OSU.
Our defense was off the charts. That's why they never got closer. The announcers bought up the stat lines of UM's big guns and it was music to my ears. We took them completely out of the game.

That would also give us the Big Ten title with a win this weekend. Illini Big Ten championship is more important than whether or not Izzo makes the tournament as a 12 seed.

When Michigan State punched this team in the mouth (and was just swept under the rug by the league) , this team has become so dialed in since the end of that game...this team playing one game at a time at the right time.
Very GREAT Win and these young men know what`s in front of them....young men just play with heart and play defense and crash the boards like you did tonight , you will walk a away a winner ,win or lose on the scoreboard , you should be proud of this season and stay hungry , humble.. No give me`s and think you young men have that "in a tight-rope", you must show up and play (you guys are lights out-keep it up....)
