I like the recruiting value of a fun-to-watch Illini blowout.

Potential recruits can see how the Illini spread it around, has to be appealing.

I-L-L! Feels great to have 1. A ncaa tournament win again and 2. An easy one at that
Hopefully the guys are feeling comfortable now. 5 more to go!

Great win on to the next one, but that is probably the last game we can come out out of the gate cold. Everyone else we see will be up on us after 15 minutes. The second have of the B10 we got rid of the cold start. BTW IMO, our Illini are B10 champs period - Illini 19-4 vs Mich 15-4 total B10 games and pounded Michigan straight up.

I'm rather liking this #1 seed business, starting of playing #16. I seem to remember a number of years, long ago, when we started off playing a #7 or 8 seed, and by round 2 we were already playing a number 2 or 3 seed.

Put him in the same class with Pippen, Jordan, and Kobe... its happening!
To add to this he said Ayo's body of being skinny but also strong and not being able to be pushed around. Compared his body type to those players and Vernon Maxwell which is a good comparison.

They were off for a week and playing in their first NCAA tourney game . . . ever. I think we'll be okay.

The little head fake right before the pass is on a whole other level. Just completely throws the defender off-balance.
I'd say it doesn't get any filthier than that, but then again we've seen even sicker moves from Belo. Like his patented Brownian motion dribble away from/toward basket around/through tall trees and then somehow hit a successful reverse layup with a guy eight inches taller draped over him. Or the dive-on-floor / lose 12 square inches of skin / wrestle ball from confused point guard / roll on floor / throw bounce pass while still on floor to streaking Ayo for uncontested flush.

He's like a human mad-libs-in-motion except that with each passing game an increasing number of these random permutations make perfect sense afterward.
