lol second weekend in a row when Dan’s servers are melting.
Road warriors. Could’ve tucked tail after the last few minutes of the first half… This team can take a shot to the chin, spit a little blood, smile red and keep scrapping. I dig it. Bodes well for postseason play.
They really brought a ton of effort. Wagler set the tone by throwing himself all over the floor for loose balls. He really took a beating in this game. Great game, great environment. LFG
I would like to get Kylan back soon. Eaglet taking a beating
the alley-oops were a thing a beauty. the type of ball movement that brings a tear to your eye.

We gave up that 11-0 run and went into halftime down by 6. So many other Illini teams would have lost their head. This squad was cool as heII, came out ready to grab the game by the balls, and played a dominant second half against a top-10 team on the road. Watching this team mature and buy in so quickly has been pretty darn incredible.
Where is Keaton ranking on people’s all time favorite Illini…he has cracked top 5 for me…Frank, Nick Anderson, Deron, Ayo, Keaton…trying to avoid recency bias but he is just so fun to watch.

After two consecutive road wins against top five teams, I wonder if it has occurred to any of the "collegiate basketball experts" that this Illini team just might be a top 5 team?
This is the version of this team that I hoped we would get to see develop...hardened by a tempered steel early schedule and epic B1G battles.
The second half of play, in the midst of the B1G gauntlet without your sr. leader, was to be admired and enjoyed by all Illini hoops fans. This Illini crew is truly becoming a TEAM and embracing the mentoring of their coaches (not saying they didn't previously). I will forego the hyperbole on Keaton Wagler as I do not have the words to do his play justice. My fondest hope is that he avoids injury...and that is a grave concern after the intentional beating he took today.
A deep bow of respect to all the members of this team. It is just my hope that they understand that something special is slowly developing. I hope they enjoy it as it will be gone too soon.
