The hotly awaited top 37 list has been delayed.

That was some damn fine play tonight. Wagler's coming along nicely. There is no way he is in front of Stojackovic, either offensively or defensively. DAMN that kid can play. He gave a clinic on how to fight through screens and thew in a little offense, just to show he's not one dimensional. Boswell's fronting JT Toppin was fantastic.

Some things for improvement (a team can always improve):
- The player at the top of the key (pick or player sliding over) needs to be ready to catch/shoot. We had multiple possessions where the dribbler turned around and tossed it back to a wide open player at the top of the key and they weren't ready. By the time they recovered, so had the defense.
- The team got rattled and out of sync for 4-5 offensive possessions near the start of the 2nd half when Toppin started rolling. We were falling into hero ball. Someone needs to calm the team and run the offense.
- In the first half, Boswell drove into the middle of a crowded lane and turned it over multiple times. This was a problem he had early last year and improved. Lets fix it again. Had he driven to either side of the lane instead of into the center with 3 defenders he would have been fine. A PG needs better court awareness.
- The team missed pretty much every deep 3 they took; all the shots were short.

I can't remember the last time we had 3 guard/wings that were so smooth driving to the rim. I guess it has to be 05.

In these close games, it has to be Bam and Andrej closing. I wouldn't run a play for anyone else under 3 minutes.

That flagrant call at the end is one the worst calls I’ve seen
Did Brad say anything about it? If that is a "thing" and fouls where we intentionally do want to foul(every team does it late in games) are going to get flagrants/technicals....that's kind of a big thing to be aware of.

The ONLY thing that I can think of is there was a rules alteration?

Otherwise, with a line of Illinois -3.5, winning by 4....that tech loomed large. Thankfully, it all turned out well and the refs lost big $ taking TT and the points.

Great win! But this has to be brought up - I haven’t read any posts tonight at all but has it been stated that the “F YEAH!” gif girl was spotted? She was sitting (standing) directly behind BU right next to the chick in the orange wig. I’m more in love than ever with her now lol she looks great!
prove it

I know we say every year about how deep the team is…. But this has got to be the deepest team we have had in quite some time. All this without Tomi, Ty and Petro who were all expected good mins. We have the ability to play 10-11 guys… I know we won’t, but this is a deep team.

On top of that, there’s multiple guys who can go get a bucket if they need to

I don't have any direct response but mad respect for doubling down with another "criticisms after a euphoric win" list after last time...

Great great win. I've been there to see us lose to Arizona, Marquette, and Tennessee. To finally get one of these feels so good.

Andrej was amazing. Just has an incredible feel for the game. The thing I was most impressed with was his on ball defense. Having him and Boswell out top is a formidable duo.

Why didn't Z play in the second half? We needed his rim protection. I also think the offense looked better when him in. More ball movement. More threes.

That flagrant was criminal. At least from my vantage point.

That was without arguably our best player...

From the NCAA site: A flagrant 1 foul is two shots and the ball and that means excessive in nature or unnecessary or avoidable, uncalled for or not required by the circumstances of the play.

I suspect this fell under the "not required" clause since Boswell wrapped his arms around the opponent.

What an exciting game and even better than The Fighting Illini come out with a hard fought and impressive victory over the
# 11th ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders.............The Illini started off slow falling behind 7-0 before outscoring TT by the score of 45-25 at the half leading 45-32.....

the second half was an all out slugfest with Toppin showing why he is ranked so high in the POTY conversations......but the Illini also showed their skills as a TEAM with so many options to choose from..........Stoya shows he is ready to play at a high level with now being fully healthy......

He was almost as unstoppable as Toppin for the last 10 minutes of the second half and his block on that last second shot was the icing on a fantastic game on both sides of the court........

Bam is the leader , no doubt , of our special team...picked up the effort starting with 2 three pointers to get us back in the game and then proved what a wise adjustment it was to have him guard Toppin......it really really was......

Wagler is poise personified more than anyone knew , EXCEPT for the Illini staff......

I'll close with this opinion about the flagrant foul called on Bam.....................!@#$%^&*()(*&^%$#@!....it really really is........

Seriously , that was the worst call in the modern 3 pt shot era .....................too many times we have seen a whole lot more contact not even called a foul and for that to be a FLAG 1 is obscene and worthy of discipline to these inept refs........I don't think even dj bald head ref would call it that way.....................

What a win Illini.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................it really really is........................
