I'm not for booing an 18-22 year old.

We can't complain about Crush not being loud and aggressive enough then tell them, "that was too much" for booing and heckling a guy who quit on the team.

They can affect the game and likely did. No complaints here. Kids are gonna be kids
You’ve obviously never seen a Duke game in person before. Plenty of dukies over the years deserved to be mercilessly booed.

I don’t have a problem with KRUSH booing with basketball related harassment. It’s kids booing kids. When my son went to Duke the Dookies were provided with handouts on what they were going to use to get at the players. He thought they took it as step too far when they researched that a player broke up with a girlfriend and the would yell her name at the player.

When I was in Krush, we had sheets with oppo on the other team and it's players as well. I don't recall us stopping quite that low, though.

The quality of said oppo varied widely depending on the year and who put it together.

I'm not going to comment on the Orange Krush talking point except to say, congratulations to Peacock on the elite audio mixing of the crowd noise for the UCLA game. Mixing the crowd noise is more of an art than a science, and it's kinda routine to have an IL game where it doesn't sound loud on the broadcast but the people at the SFC say otherwise. So here's to Peacock, the best audio mixers in the business 🏆

Ok I'm going to comment on the Orange Krush. It was like 2 weeks ago that the issue was Krush was too quiet, on their phones, not engaged in the game, etc. Now this week the issue is, Krush may be a bit too hostile to the opposition. Just trying to understand, to see if this a fair assessment of the situation.

As an adult who does not go to the games, the problem I see here is it's difficult to maintain a steady stream of complaints towards the OK when the discussion takes such an abrupt 180. The Krush has always been a conduit for adults to complain about, because as an adult it's extremely difficult for the present to match the greatness of the past. We all want to a fantastic home court environment and the Krush are supposed to lead the way so they become the easy target of criticism when things aren't going so well. There are a bunch of adults inside the arena as well, although they aren't the problem. As an adult, I don't want to say that the adults could possibly be a bit of an issue not bringing the noise at the SFC. The adults aren't part of the problem with this issue are they

Depends on the kid. I have zero regrets about booing IDKWTI when he played at Assembly Hall.

Well, my voice was extremely hoarse, so I guess I regret that part, but nothing else.
My lone regret from that game was us not winning it. And honestly, while the Krush did give Skyy the business, it wasn't even 10% of the Eric Gordon game. Is it the right thing to do? No. But some days it just isn't about being good boys and girls. Some days it's about letting someone who wronged you know in the clearest of terms they aren't welcome in your house.

Good memories... As was the response to being admonished by the B10 of sitting on hands, politely applauding, and yelling out positive affirmations the next game. Didn't regret that either.

I thought booing Skyy was fine, I just wish it would've been a bit more creative.

Sir, you've run this site for how long now? You, of all people, should know that it is actually quite easy for this community to maintain a steady stream of complains about basically anything.

Otherwise, this whole Krush discussion is largely a bunch of old men yelling at clouds.

Hear, hear! As a grey hair myself, it is embarassing to see all those grey hairs sitting doing nothing all game long.

I did too. Commented about guys being gassed, Tomi being a step too slow, etc. Even I could see it. Maddening he stuck with the same 5 who were giving up the lead.

Another puzzling moment was at the end when we were up 3, Brad turned to the bench and asked, "should we foul?" You would think he would have a strong philosophy either way and give immediate direction to the players on the floor.

I can simultaneously hate the way Kylan is playing and want the broadcast to get his name right. :ROFLMAO:

Actually, against high caliber opponents, he's had some good games. He was brought here to shoot the three.

Alabama. 3/6
Arkansas. 3/4
Oregon. 4/7
Rutgers 3/8
UCLA. 2/5
Ohio State. 1/3

I left the games where he went off against PSU and NW.

I think that, on the season, he's shooting about 35.6% from three. As a team, we're shooting 31.6%.
I think that only Ivisic, at 37%, is better.

Now, there is NO DOUBT that he's had his bad shooting games. As a team, nobody has been immune to it. We have guys that can't hit the broad side of a barn.

The exaggeration of Ben being some bum shooting the ball and being "the worst player on the team" is just ridiculous.

He's been deemed the whipping boy on the roster by some of the fans(a huge amount on this board). It's bad enough to where our real issues, amongst some, get no attention. We'll leave that player alone because a bash fest does nobody any good.
whyever it is, we must have whipping boy!

New orange crush location is courtside is much better than behind basket. The rich senior citizens barely cheered in the 70' and 80' when I lived in CU and attended games.

Iowa does the same. Booing and ribbing players is fine. I think there are pretty clear lines where it becomes unacceptable (celebrating injuries, personal attacks, vulgarity - and I don't mean "bull!!!!", etc ..) and even college students know where those lines are, because they're the things you would never say face to face. Stepping over them is a choice.

52 second spot - why is that not traveling on KJ? UCLA had one just like it, later in the game, with no call
Why would it be? You can dive and slide on the floor as long as you want. You just can't roll over or get up when you stop.

Outside of one-offs to open new threads, or give news, the last couple days feels like the most Dan has ever opined here. Nice!

Didn't know that. Thank you.

This team can be so good when everyone just plans within there roles and doesn't take egregious shots. As far as I think they could go, I have no trust in tyler and hamer in high leverage situations to come up with something good. We saw it in UCLA out of a timeout the play was a stepback contested 3?, and then leaving them wide open for 3?
