The one thing I will say is that it's almost impossible for anyone to complain about them being unfair if they just call every play a foul. Even that play where Willard caught the ball while standing in bounds they somehow missed the most obvious inbounds violation of all time by Quincy.
Great college game. Great win. I know someone will post about the poor officiating, but I thought it was as good as you can expect on the road in a tough environment.
So I think I am going to stop going to Maryland sporting events. Didn’t go tonight or for football and we won.

Until tomorrow...yes. MD is 75 in NET today, but they will likely drop a spot or two tomorrow. Hopefully they start winning down stretch to finish in top 75. That would mean Quad 1 road win, Quad 2 home loss.

We didn’t make a three the entire second half. Kind of a weird stat. We had several really good looks also.
Guys really did a nice job making free throws though.
That D by Domask on Young's transition attempt was huge. Four point swing that really kept the crowd from exploding.

Huge win. That game could have gone either way with a few bounces of the ball. Maryland kept fighting back, but impressive resilience by Illinois as well never letting Maryland take control of the game despite several mini-runs.
Felt like this was a must win game for various reasons. Congratulations Fighting Illini players & coaches!!!!
Not his best shooting game but 4 blocks on Young by TSJ were huge.

Never. These games are fun on the road in a semi tough environment. Road wins are very hard these days.

On the plus side defensively, we changed things up. The negative, we closed way too hard on the rotations and seemed to forget Young is left handed.
WE FINALLY DID IT.
Proud of the boys for finding a way to gut out a win on the road against a desperate Maryland team. Huge win. The College Park monkey is off Brad's back.
