Humrichous, I'm still a fan, but 1 rebound! 1-5 shooting all from 3. We need a better plan for him.

Great bounce back win and toughed out a win against a veteran, solid team. Gonna need to take care of the ball and play nearly perfect ball Saturday to win, but this one was much needed.

Wondering if something is wrong with BigT cause he just hasn’t looked the same.
He and Morez still combined for 15 rebounds in 43 minutes. If you get 15 boards out of your centers that’s a job well done. It’s really why we won the game - the glass. We out toughed Wisconsin after NW did that to us. I think Brad challenged the guys and they responded well enough.

At what point does Underwood pull the plug on Humrichous starting? He can't keep this up much longer, or you'd think the locker room will revolt.

Gritty, gritty win. Defending against an outrageous whistle, Wisc in the bonus for 15 damn minutes. Plus multiple ridiculous bounces and circus shot makes in crunch time. Some bad turnovers the first two thirds, wide open misses in the second, but didn't freak out and stayed the course offensively. KJ - tremendous. Special, special effort from Tre who had to watch Friday's meltdown mostly from the bench.

With regards to Ben, I decided to track him this game just to see how the eyes compared to reality, and yeah, he had a rough night on both sides of the ball. The shots he took were high quality, just didn't fall. Shooters gotta shoot, so I don't blame him for that. On the boards, Ben really struggled- he does show effort but his reaction time is slow and he doesn't have proper positioning or strength to effectively get and secure the boards or box out. By my count he gave up 5 2nd chance opportunities. It wasn't pretty.

As for shooting defense, he was consistently out of position and in reactionary trailing position. He did get back to contest the opportunity in several cases enough for Wisconsin not to shoot, though the window was still there. The player's stat line who he was guarding in a given possession:

16pts on 7 of 11 shooting

I'll try continuing to track this as the season goes on

I get Brad wanting to do right by a senior to give him a chance to work through the slump, but if he's not shooting, he doesn't provide much of anything. Just stands in the corner and our offense increasingly stopped looking his way.

I've been a big Tre White critic but this is exactly the type of play I expected from him. I should be kinder to him since in this game, I noticed how well he bails out others when he cuts to the basket but no one else bails him out in a similar manner. I also appreciate Underwood acknowledging his errors and understanding each game is different and will require different personnel.

Gotta give credit to the officials. They were so bad that they got the crowd into the game. Helped us go on a 10-0 run from which Wisconsin never fully recovered.
We have played 2 big10 games and have gotten 2 completely different types of officiating styles. First game it was like we were playing rugby and then this game you couldn't touch anyone.
