We made 11 threes in the game and we are 11-0 when we make 11 threes. Good win. 90 percent was alot of good with 10 percent being the same old annoying flaws that have not been clear up. Now lets get back to the Sweet 16!

Ive been hard on this team this year. If we can cleanup the Sloppy turnovers and mix in some 2s (57% for the year), we'll beat the kitties!
But, it's been justified I believe. This team deserves criticism when they lose twice to Maryland by twenty points, etc.

And you're correct: no sloppy TOs and play their normal game, I believe they do beat Kentucky.

A lot of analytics are
The analytics aren't the problem. The analysis typically is the problem, and that's done by a person who is human and not infallible.

Data gives you a lot of possible ideas and paths of pursuit to change something. It doesn't mean your assessment is correct, or that your ideas will actually work.

I do this for probably 40-50% of my workday. I look at data and determine causes of problems. It gives me ideas and we try out those ideas. Sometimes you get success and sometimes you don't. But you don't get ideas without the analytics.

Great win. A bit of a relief. At no time in that game did I think Illinois was not in complete control. Anytime Xavier cut the lead it wasn't really because of anything they were doing. It was because of sloppy play by the Illini or some tough calls.

This is me every time we attempt a pass in from OOB. Please God, help us miraculously improve by Sunday.

Some may disagree, but I think X is a very solid team who may have upset some other better seeds in this tournament. The Illini somewhat drubbed this team.

Why does KJ take the ball out? Can they have it where someone else does and not ruin the whole offensive system? I believe he had a few of those against Tennessee. We need to learn a lesson and not do it again.

And Van Halen, Van Slyck, Van Dyke, Van McCoy or Van der Beek (whatever his name is) was annoying tonight with his pro-X bent.

Great win! Riley, Boswel, and Tomi with big performances. Riley had several clutch shots. So happy to see him shine on the big stage. And KJ with a ton of positives. Felt like several of his turnovers were obvious fouls, but he needs to be better with the ball regardless.

Don’t know what to say about Ben vs Tre. Tre played a great game to start and then was on the bench for long stretches of the first and second. When he got back in towards the end, he had a couple of bad fouls. Maybe the team players better D with Ben, but his individual play just does not pass the eye test. Got burned several times and could not hit a short. But maybe his team / off-ball / help defense is much better?

Once Illinois got the lead for good in the 1st half I barely felt that they were going to lose control of the game...except for when our offense when stagnant and they climbed back to 76-68. Then the team made an incredible effort to save the ball in bounds, got it to Riley, and his 3 and the subsequent steal and layup by KJ were the daggers.
Yep, my heart rate went down noticeably after that WR3+KJ2 sequence, otherwise I might be sitting in the ER right now. LOL
