Once Illinois got the lead for good in the 1st half I barely felt that they were going to lose control of the game...except for when our offense when stagnant and they climbed back to 76-68. Then the team made an incredible effort to save the ball in bounds, got it to Riley, and his 3 and the subsequent steal and layup by KJ were the daggers.
I'm not surprised by the win, but rather shocked in how we did it. Xavier never really made a serious run at any point. We were in control of basically the entire game. Bring on Kentucky, a very winnable game.
To everyone who says that Sean Miller is the coach to take us to the next level...
