Inexcusable end of regulation.

But let’s honor the good things:

Orange and blue energy was visible today, especially on the offensive glass.

Shoutout to Hawkins for a powerfully efficient game.

Shoutout to Ty Rodgers for for his rebound hunting technique - they should study it at military academies.

Shoutout to Dain Dainja for playing with raw hunger despite the circumstances.

Shoutout to Sam Hoiberg for the cultural education: I didn’t even know they played basketball in the Shire.

Another fun Big Ten slugfest. Two motivated teams with something to play for.

So, Our Beloved had to win this game... TWICE. Spirited comeback by the Huskers. The Beloved were challenged and responded to the call. But They did let it become too uncomfortably tight. And, some nervous ball-handling woes.

And maybe for the first time since the Huskers joined the Big Ten... they look like they finally might belong here. Since joining The Big Boy League... Husker Big Ten football has been a big disaster and the roundballers not much better. But they seem to make a step up the ladder.

Nebraska was a motivated team today. And there is a unique joy in beating a motivated team. Huskers playing in a true basketball State today. And they WANTED it. And they left still wanting.

Rodgers was Mister Energy. And good team balance again, overall.

A nice way to enjoy a February Sunday evening. In the State where roundball is LIFE.
