Today wasn’t KJ’s day shooting the ball, but I wouldn’t over react. He had 18 points and 13 rebounds last time out. He had some turnovers in that game, but how many of them were from guys simply not catching the ball?
Boswell was really good today, after being invisible against Nebraska. (8 pts, 1 assist, 4 rebounds in 32 minutes.) Even if KJ isn’t playing as effectively as he could, he is never invisible. He competes as hard as anyone on the team, no matter the score.

We are going to need them both to play well to get where we are trying to go.
Let's not sugar coat it. KJ has been awful the games since TI has been out. With TI back today, he was just as bad. Last 4 games:

18-47 from the field overall
4-24 from three
5:4 assist to turnover ratio

Add in missing critical free throws(front ends nonetheless) and turnovers at absolutely critical situations....that's a guy whose playing time should be reduced..... significantly. He can't be in the floor late.

At this point, racking up wins is most important. The Nebraska game was the final straw for BU on a couple of fronts. I think that addressing KJ and his minutes are next.

Rebirth.

Of the orange monster.

I got lots of optimism.

Will Riley’s confidence + feel for the game is breaking out harder than his acne.

Dra snappin like on em like bra. One-hand tomahawk jammin’ on heads and then puttin the bug-eyed emoji stare on em like:

😳 - “you best to fear the Illini”

Boswell hittin a couple nice layups down the stretch, too, to splash a little calm on the message board masochists.

And all this means - especially the emergence of Riley - that we are overall *better* than we were before. Just need a little time for all the superheroes to learn to fight together, again.

The past couple weeks have definitely tested our hearts with strong doses of pain - but such is the cost of being blessed with something you love. There were people on here talkin bout “I’m done with this team”?

C’mon, y’all.

The best is yet to come.

I see blowouts on the horizon.
Is KJ still hurt? The bandage on his wrist and his free throw shooting makes me think it’s a factor.

With the CBS soundtrack behind it. Masterpiece.
All that’s missing is:

Insiders I know for awhile there was rumors Morez would transfer, especially with TA leaving. Any word on if that has changed? Any % on if he will be back. Him and DGL we gotta keep for next year those two are everyday guys

That's why I remain frustrated with this team, great win today aside. I can squint and see this being an absolutely bulldozer squad, but instead they're seventh in the Big Ten.

So... For fun, what do you think our record would be if we played that way all year? We would have won at Nebraska, I think (though all those lovely end-of-the-game drives to the basket would have been much tougher against them).

We probably win against Nebraska, but it's tough to know without Tomi. He's a game changer.

Free throw shooting is focus. Turnovers happen, but the types of turnovers he's making is focus. I like to give guys as many excuses as possible, but can't watch him and come to the conclusion that he's locked in.

That was a big-time win. We lose by 20 w/out Tomi so shoutout to him. Love DGL and looks like they’ve found a way to get Riley in his comfort zone.

One thing I’ll say is waaaaaay to much focus on here being put on who starts. We didn’t have a great start or 1st half. I do think we’re finding out our most productive players, but more important than starting is finding matchups and riding the hot hand. Why do we care so much about who starts?

This one was good, but the second half at Oregon was much better.
Fair.

+25 in 2H vs Oregon
+14 in 2H today vs OSU

Oregon was just different. We hit them with a barrage of threes and they folded without much of a fight. Lead ballooned from there.

Today took grit. And we did it on a day when our threes weren't falling.... and our opponents' were.
