I’m not sure if it was Brad or the guys just reading the defense, but was very happy to finally see some back cuts off the overplaying perimeter defense. If we can continue to work that, we will get better looks for three.

Also love to see Morez play the power game, it is very intimidating!

I’m glad he’s not afraid to be vocal. I’m glad he’s taking on something of a leadership role. I also, like that he was trying to be positive.

But what the heck energy was he liking on that day? 😂 Something was just off. USC too. Hopefully that’s in the past and we’ve turned a corner now.

Wow, Morez Johnson literally takes a punch to the face to get his hands on the ball. While he's battling Riley and his boys are watching. That's horrible. Freshman is going to be a special Illini. That effort and fight should be in every single man that wears our Jersey. It is not. Last 3 minutes of this 1st half, Morez kept us within reach. Royal from OSU, is absolutely a NBA player. Give me an entire team of Morez and Dgl every season.

I believe that was a typo. In DGL's post game interview after Nebraska, he said he was not happy with the pre game energy,
and expressed his concern, also said should have said more to get his point across.

My bad that was a typo. He was NOT liking the energy he saw at the Nebraska game was what I meant to type. Lol.

Typo: Meant to type DGL was not liking the energy the team was giving prior to tipoff at the Nebraska.

Brad needs to adjust his thinking permanently. That mindset of shooting and rebounding didn’t work.

Driving, getting fouled, or setting up rhythm 3’s along with rebounding works much better.

In addition to a very satisfying win today, the Assembly Hall looked great as did the crowd on national, network broadcast TV. I'm not that experienced with NBA or other basketball venues, but what young man would not want to play in that building if they could play for a really great team?

OSU only had 12 more 2pt shots than us. They were 16 of 50 (32%) while we were 26 of 38 (68%) from 2. We also shot 16 more FTs which helped.

Taking this further - They don't count attempts when you get fouled unless you make the shot. When they start the foul parade at the end of the game you aren't getting FGA either.
