I was about apoplectic when I realized the Tampa Fox station was showing "The Gasparilla Kids Parade"... fortunately I scrambled to get the Fox Sports app up and running to watch that beautiful game and a historic performance
Had the same problem in Tampa on Fox, but found it on a spectrum channel called Buzzr

First Tomi breaking the guitar...now David throwing chairs and breaking boards....our Slavic players have some crazy energy but that's what we need. David is probably the closest thing I've seen to Lucas Johnson yet he has been pretty tame in games compared to what I thought he'd be like
I like that comparison.

Sometimes when someone goes off like Wagler, the other players kinda shrink on offense. Wagler was Superman. But Davis, Mirk and Tomi turned Wagler’s heroics into a W. Tomi has been making clutch shots a lot lately.
He was 0 for the game before making the free throw on the back end of the 1 & 1, Definitely got going after that

Man alive... Watched the first half- but was coaching my son's rec basketball during the 2nd half. I'm in utter shock- and didn't think we had any shot at winning this game. I just hoped we'd find some way to win 1/3 of at Purdue, at Nebraska, and at MSU- and we already got that taken care of.

If we can defend home court while Kylan's out- man alive! So nice to see so many players contribute massive shots/plays late in the game (Tomi, Mirk, Jake, Keaton). The toughness and unity of this team was impressive.

Side note: I finally watched the 2nd half- what's even more impressive to me is that Purdue was hitting some extremely difficult shots and we still won in spite of that. Unreal.

Except it really was 1979.
I was trying to remember if that game was before or after the break. Looks like I was more than a little off.

It isn't really a qualifier for all time best Illinois game, but it is the best one I actually attended. I haven't attended all that many games since graduating from UI=Law, and it seems like we lost every one of them. I've considered spending a lot of money for tix to the Final Four this year, but my jinx is just too strong.
