Illini fans are so happy, they're coming here and crashing the site! It's being soooo slow right now lol. That's a good thing tho, considering WHY it's happening!

Also, check out ESPN being their usual SEC 🍆-riding selves. This is their front page of their college basketball section. 🙄

Wow. This one will live in Illini lore for a long, long time. KEATON F'N WAHG-LER!

Rewind 5-6 months ago.. Keaton Wagler is a couple years away from contributing.. needs work with Fletch.. a project.. should probably redshirt..
Woooooooobuddy!
It's really funny how he's singlehandedly redeemed decades of nonsense summer practice reports.

Alex Legion walked so Keaton Wagler could run 🙏

Well you all might consider 46 pts. with clutch shooting all game to be something special. But for our point guard to make 3 turnovers and grab ZERO boards simply wipes out all that good scoring. Bring on Petrovic!!! ;)

Seriously, an amazing otherworldly game for Keaton Wagler. A deep bow of respect from me on a super heroic effort and performance.

On the biggest stage of the day, the Illini program finally came away with a huge win at the most difficult venue to get one. This should vault our guys into the top 8 and maybe higher which is where they belong.

Also a shout out to David Mirkovic. In spite of his questionable status, he played one of his best overall games with 28 min. of official game time.

There just may be something to this offensive efficiency idea. In past years, our teams have played with top 5 teams for much of the game, and then hit a 10 minute drought that left us all shaking our heads. Today, they scored all the way to the end with another top 2 team in offensive efficiency. Pretty good stuff.

Finally, a tip of my cap to the Boilers and their coach. They know how to play the game smart in almost every situation....especially Braden Smith. Love/hate watching him play....he is really, really, really good. But maybe Wagler was a snitch better today. Yep, I love me some Keaton Wagler.

The Boilermakers will go back to the practice court to make a few tweaks and adjustments, before getting their train back on track.
