Lots of good things from this game. They attacked the paint well and got a lot of very good looks from 3 off of those attacks. 22 assists as a team is very good.

Just have to clean up some of the ball security issues from the first half.

Well, I hope you enjoyed those Petro minutes because the B1G season isn't gonna have much for him I'm afraid.

Wagler deciding to be the B1G FOY Lottery pick with a dash of best 6'6" PG that can play a turnover and foul free 39 mpg left Petro out in the cold.
Nobody saw that coming.

After the Nebraska game, everyone said they’d be happy if Illinois could just have a T25 defense.

Well:

Petro did not look great today. During dribbling he pounded the ball into the ground like he was anxious. Turned it over late a couple times too.

I still like his game but he showed he’s farther off from being ready than it appeared in his brief moments previous games.

Won like we should have, but a few issues we've got here...

1. Andrej has got to find a way to be useful when the ball is not in his hands. Cut, rebound, hustle, space the floor, make the extra pass, defend. There were a few possessions where he would have the ball at half court or get an outlet pass and he just...kept he ball... even when he would get double teamed or had someone open down the floor. He's awesome downhill and in the paint but for us but to hit our ceiling he has got to be a better all around player. Also, you're not going to the NBA next year... find more ways to help us now.

2. I've stated many times...I'm a Mihailo fan boy. I loved his tape and I think there is a REALLY good PG in there. Today I see the reason he cant get consistent minutes:
- Loose with the ball
- Pouts when he doesn't get calls
- Bad on defense...bad
- Plays with low intensity
- Doesnt play within the flow of the offense
I STILL think he can be really really good...but my man is soft as Charmin. I dont know where all this ends up, but this is not Europe. Dudes are here to kill you and rake the ball from you. Man up and play hard.

2. Lee is the opposite, plays hard and with intensity but he's got alot to iron out on offense. I think he'll be able to score, but its how good he gets at the intangibles that will take him to the next level. I hope we can get him for a couple years to really develope him.

3. Wagler continues to be the best player on the team and how do I start convincing him, his team and his family to stay another year, work with Fletch and be a top 8 pick next year?

4. Please...more Z lobs, I love it. And T looks healthier. I liked what we got from the twins. Well done.

Good win, on to the next.
