Upon reflection, even if Illinois loses to PU, I think with this Q1A win, they should avoid the dreaded 8/9th seed.
Beat PU and a Big Ten tournament game? A 6th seed, imo.

I saw someone mention DGL looking dejected on the bench. He strikes me as the type who is more upset at himself for playing poorly today than being mad at Brad or anyone else on the team playing over him.
Not everyone is going to play well at the same time, but hopefully he can get some of his groove back against Purdue or in the BTT.

You had to mention Miznoz. It really bothers me that they are ranked ahead of us.
Not only am I impressed at how this team has battled back from the illnesses, injuries and the Duke thing, but in my experience teams that clearly outplay their opponent the first 20 minutes, but can't pull away often see the game get away. So, Michigan takes the lead on the first basket of the second half, Tomi finds himself in foul trouble, KJ can't buy an open 3...and then the Illini just destroy the Wolverines.
I'll second what everyone has said about White's performance and importance to what the Illini do, as well as the strong leader Kylan has become. He had a great offensive game, but his defensive effort today was a large part of the reason Michigan couldn't do much more than rely on Golden's jump hook shots. Was also encouraged that KJ seemed to find his footing and his shot later in the second half.

I remember when someone on here went to great lengths to explain the concept of trailing the ball on the screens and how it was used successfully in the NBA. I didn't agree with it and am glad we have stopped using that failed concept. It doesn't work for us.
Best part was the silly Underwood should be fired should be over for the year. Although if we lose in the first round of the tournament it may start up again.

I think White is a better 3 pt. shooter than he even realizes. I like the kid. A whole lot.
