Lost in all this is Tomi shooting it from Caitlin Clark distance. Genuinely hilarious. A heck of a weapon to neutralize rim protectors. Step out and try to guard that.
I liked Luke when he was here, but he was being overly aggressive the whole game on box outs. Hooked and held several times. I am sure everyone had had about enough of it.

yup...pretty blatant hard foul. Came from the arc and ran Tomi over into his back and then pushed him. Can't blame Tomi for being upset...not what the game is about...especially when Indiana is down by 30 at home.
Then White shoved Tomi blatantly in front of the official. Finally, Ballo came running from the arc to jump over the crowd and literally threw an open handed leaping punch at Tomi. Tomi did get in Luke's face which threw flame on the fire, but White's push was uncalled for and Ballo got a flagrant 2, ejected, and will likely be suspended for a bit.

The big difference tonight was our rebounding. We had a ton of offensive rebounds and second chance points. And limited them to one miss and got the rebound. That’s the difference. Also helped they couldn’t buy a 3 and our 3s were falling. Not the reason we won, but def. the reason we won by 30.

He had a flagrant early in the game on KJ and then put his shoulders in to Tomi’s ribs. There must be something in the water in Bloomington - I don’t remember him ever doing something like that before.

I think they were questioning why we would risk an injury to one of our key players when the game was essentially over.

I think it was the absolutely right call after the skirmish that followed it. Refs had to get back control of the game or risk a full out brawl taking place. I had hard foul on Goode (based on time and score), I had technical on Ivisic for getting in Goode's face, I had technical on Rice for pushing, technical on DGL for pushing, and flagrant 2 and ejection on Ballo for the flying push and that is exactly what happened.
It's also exactly what needs to happen in that situation along with a talk to both coaches saying if I see anyone start any of this back up in these final 2 minutes I'm ejecting them. That's how you manage a game.
And I know a lot of people were unhappy with the refs in the game thread, but I actually and honestly believe they handled a chippy game between rivals just about as well as you could.
