Robbie Hummel was kind to Illinois when we weren’t a threat. Now he can’t stop himself from being overly onesided in his in game criticism. He detracted from this win a little. But not enough to hold me back from celebrating! What a massacre!

I think it was the absolutely right call after the skirmish that followed it. Refs had to get back control of the game or risk a full out brawl taking place. I had hard foul on Goode (based on time and score), I had technical on Ivisic for getting in Goode's face, I had technical on Rice for pushing, technical on DGL for pushing, and flagrant 2 and ejection on Ballo for the flying push and that is exactly what happened.

It's also exactly what needs to happen in that situation along with a talk to both coaches saying if I see anyone start any of this back up in these final 2 minutes I'm ejecting them. That's how you manage a game.

And I know a lot of people were unhappy with the refs in the game thread, but I actually and honestly believe they handled a chippy game between rivals just about as well as you could.
Agree with the exception of Dra's T. No way he deserved one for moving Ballo out of the pile. No way, no how.

Exactly... Well said.

He had a flagrant early in the game on KJ and then put his shoulders in to Tomi’s ribs. There must be something in the water in Bloomington - I don’t remember him ever doing something like that before.

He used get called for undercutting people on boxouts. He always tries to look innocent but he's always had a little dirty streak to his game.

' telling ya, rebounds is the main difference. Hard to lose with 14 more possessions.

Woodson last chance because he won’t be back next season

We've beat 3 Big Ten teams by nearly 30 points
At Oregon
Home against PSU
At Indiana
Unbelievable against any Big Ten team, literally jaw dropping to do that on the road for 2 of them and against a top 10 team and two solid teams.

I love conference road wins so much. Brad has raised the level of the program so much over the last few years that I come to expect them. There is just nothing better than winning @Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and…..Michigan State 😁

Hopefully we can add Purdue back to the list next year

Having extreme high expectations now because the Illini are Elite, I was very disappointed in that loss to USC. I keep forgettin'

that KJ did not play in that game. I hope the committee remembers that. It's still good to have those high expectations, though. Keeps the program going.

And another blowout road victory!

It was impressive scoring 60 in a half

But we did not play a complete game

Our interior defense gave up too many easy baskets in the first half

When KJ is not on the court the ball doesn’t move

We did not play well for the first 5-7 minutes of the second half. Cannot let up on a team.
So our ceiling is like.......MARS?
