It looked like a football play, or a hockey check. That is what it looked like to me. I don't blame Tomi. The game was over. Calm down Luke. No need to injure someone. Later it looked like Tomi was ok. Hopefully not serious.

Only thing that could hold him back is Trent experienced some real lows with the program and still stuck it out. DGL has always been on a winner. Not complaining but legacy is different without something bigger being achieved with a DGL team. They are projecting to that being a possibility with these blow outs.Except he has the benefit that he could probably jump over Trent Frazier.
What a thoughtful, reasonable, and logical assessment. He graduated early and went to a school with strong ties to his family. I can't blame him for that.
Goode is an Indiana kid who wanted to go to Indiana (like his family members) or Purdue; he wasn't pursued by either coming out of high school. So, because he was fortunate enough to have basketball talent, he went where he was wanted and could develop. When he was no longer a good fit (since we had better talent coming in), he made another business decision to go where he'd make more money. That just happened to align with his childhood dreams.
It's like BB. He wanted to go to Illinois, but it was Iowa who offered him a spot. He took what he could get and went home eventually. I can't blame either guy for doing as much.
Hummel is a legend in his own mind......I'm not as enamored with Hummel as many here are......I don't care for his broadcasting style as if his opinion carries more weigh than others.........He routinely butt's in or talks over the other announcers and thinks his opinion is better than anyone else's.......We ran 9 deep with contributors. Hummel put a stupid narrative out and the casuals are running with it.
So they are going to France or Lithuania?2 staffers are getting a really good view of the ocean today
Yeah, I tried to listen to Dakich, but the opening minute of his show was so bad I can't make it to the Underwood interview. Just unbelievably hateful and racist nonsense coming from him right from the go.Any way to get that nugget without having to listen to Dakich?
And even if you don't have the spare time, you should all be commended for making time to post on here. Keep up the fine work!
If you have spare time (and face it, if you're posting on here, then you think you have spare time) this is a dandy, DANDY rant!
I usually just mute the sound and watch. But kinda seems like Hummel was over-compensating to Hoosier fans for being a Purdue guy last night.Hummel is a legend in his own mind......I'm not as enamored with Hummel as many here are......I don't care for his broadcasting style as if his opinion carries more weigh than others.........He routinely butt's in or talks over the other announcers and thinks his opinion is better than anyone else's.......
I'm waiting for him to incorporate a hearty " Boiler Up " into his schtick........JMHO and I either mute the sound when he is involved in a game or turn to another game.........
Again , JMHO and it's not really worth a plugged nickel........it really really isn't................
He also said Brad should be fired when the FBI stuff came out.Really disappointed Brad would go on Dan's show. He doesn't remember Dan talking all that smack against TSJ and refusing to apologize for it even after he got exonerated?
The Indiana fans that are thumping their chests, pointing to their banners as their birthright to continuing glory sound much like how I imagine fans of CCNY, San Francisco and Texas Western sounded in the 1980s, forty or so years removed from their heydays.
Speaking of which, we've had an absolute dearth of the F-Yeah Girl lately. I mean, those Oregon and Indiana games warranted a hella large dose of her.I mean...this is up there with the F YEAH girl, 3 Point Guitar Girl, and the Ayo Reaper meme.
But I'd put it on top because of @sacraig gifgineering.
I just made a new word I think.
BTW, the Inside The Hall commentariat were bit*hing about the fact that Humrichous wanted to play for IU, the coaching staff wouldn't even give him a look, and now he torches them. lol salty Hoosier tears. He graduated early and went to a school with strong ties to his family. I can't blame him for that.

Yes at that time of the game it was ridiculous for Luke to make a play like that. It was over the top. He is the one responsible for the melee that followed.
F yeah........................Speaking of which, we've had an absolute dearth of the F-Yeah Girl lately. I mean, those Oregon and Indiana games warranted a hella large dose of her.
Before I steal this and post it everywhere, any last words? /sOutstanding! And so close to my first (failed) attempt at it....it was just the Block I running over the Hawkeye. I also tried Brad running over crying Juwan.
It just never came out this good!
Then I would get frustrated, or see a squirrel.
Feel free to execute the crying Juwan example!!!
Thanks for stepping in @Dan. Sometimes people need to be reminded how to be an Illini BBfan.I'm always going to remember Luke Goode as an everyday guy who confidently dropped 8pts off the bench (2-5, 2-2) in the program's first -- and quite tough -- Sweet 16 victory in 19 years. Go Illini

It will be worse than the Bears coaching search LOL
Smiling Brad was harder to find that yelling Brad. The best part is the smiling Brad at the end![]()

I find the defending of Goode's play last night by so many people here to be confusing and really absurd if you take his actions in context and take out the emotion of him being a former Illini......
What if he had injured Tomi ( a current Illini ) with his bonehead play with the game already decided long before......????
What if the Flagrant foul called on him earlier in the game for an elbow thrown at KJ would have injured him ??
What if the shot to KJ's chin thrown by him on a KJ drive in the paint had done damage to a current Illini.....??
It looked to me like Goode was out of control most of the night and whether he is a current or former Illini should not outweigh his dangerous actions last night........
As I have always said , I respect everyone's opinion whether i agree with it or not.........I ask that my opinion and others with a similar opinion be granted the same respect..............look at the replay and take into account that he left the Illini .....we didn't leave him and to then play as reckless as he did last night against his former team tells me all I need to know.....JMHO.......
my brother , I agree he was the only loosier with a pulse last night but that elbow he threw at KJ was dirty as it was away from the play going on the other side of the court........and a flagrant foul rightly called as it was right in front of the ref.....I don't think he's playing dirty or that there's any intent at all pru. He's the only one playing hard on that team. He played the same way here. He learned that aggressiveness here. He simply left for more playing time at his childhood dream school and it's turning into a bad dream for him.
If he was playing dirty with intent to harm our players, that's a different animal.
And I agree with you he was def reckless a few times but I think it was him attempting to lead his team to actually give some effort. That team has no leadership. I'm very glad his fouls resulted in no injuries and I'm sure he is as well.
Like I said, shock jock. He just runs his lips to get a reaction. And he usually does get a reaction, because his takes are hot garbage. He also said Brad should be fired when the FBI stuff came out.
