Nah...I don't think we are that far apart on it...you're just more fired up!

Both plays were reckless and aggressive and I'm pretty sure Luke acknowledged his regret with them. He's just not a dirty player. Elbows and bodies occasionally fly in basketball.

He also stood up and held Ballo accountable in the post game for that shove which shows his maturity and leadership.

I don't know if it was brought up in the game thread but the 60 points in a half in a B1G road game has to be up there in the record books, doesn't it?

I agree with you. Luke was over the top last night. It had to be an emotional game…one he’s had circled on the calendar for weeks.

He probably felt Illinois recruited over him and left him no option but to portal….and thought he’d show us in Bloomington. He probably imagined he’d play a great game, hit a half dozen 3’s, and Indiana would win.

It didn’t go like that and his frustrations boiled over, but he could’ve hurt KJ and Tomi. He’ll grow from this and move on.

That said, I still love Luke. He’ll always be an Illini.

All of his family went to Indiana. Neither Purdue or Indiana recruited him out of high school so he crossed the border. 3 years at Illinois where he gave effort without the high major skills. Illinois program trending up and imo his playing time would likely be less. His skill filled a void at his dream school and he effectively used the NIL process to end at Indiana.

Still wondering how many ncaa years it will take Goode to get to the 1500 career points that underwood claimed he would become.

We had some lean years of our own, sure. But you could write that up to one bad hire. IU is about to be onto their 4th coach since their last championship. The guy on the sidelines keeps changing but the mediocrity remains.

Yea, never take on the media, especially A Dan Dakiich type . Surprised Luke has taken on that role. Dakiich has crucified him on his show today. Luke seemed on edge in the game last night as well.

Think more relevant is just that Indiana has really done very little in the last 30 years or so.

Since 1994, in terms of NCAA Seeding Resume:

one time they were a 1 seed
zero times they were a 2 seed
zero times they were a 3 seed
three times they were a 4 seed
three times they were a 5 seed
four times they were a 6 seed
three times they were a 7 seed
two times they were an 8 seed
one time they were a 9 seed
one time they were a 10 seed
zero times they were an 11 seed
one time they were a 12 seed
eleven times they didn't qualify for the NCAA Tournament

they've won at least a share of the Big Ten Regular Season title three times

they have never won the Big Ten Conference Tournament
they have made the Big Ten Conference Final one time

By all objective measures, they have had a very lengthy period of being mediocre.

Agree, Brad is very calculated, love that dude. Brad and Bret are the best coaches at U of I in my lifetime and I just turned 60.

I love Luke, but hate Indiana, so I'm a bit conflicted. He's a great person, and Dan Dakich is a piece of human ecrement. He blocked me on Twitter for responding to his TSJ comments. He can dish it out but he can't take it, he's a pos for dragging Luke like this, but as somebody said, nobody cares what Dakich says.

I’m not. He knows not to mess with Brad. DD just goes after people who won’t be on his show . Luke needs to relax and get off social media. He has a point about Luke just coming there for 1 year and chastising the fans.
