Is Indiana always this bad on defense? Or was this just an anomaly?

Sadly for me as a St. Louis Cardinals fan, I'm also a fan of a team that sees too many fans with that same mindset to help justify the current lack of urgency from the Cardinals ownership and front office. If you're a fan of the program that focuses on the future, seeing that mindset is not fun.

I’ve watched the crowd reaction to him making that shot like 10 times. Wish we had it at all angles and with close-ups. The amount of people putting their arms over their heads in helpless awe, the sound of the crowd…is just *chef’s kiss.* I should rewatch this 10 seconds every morning to start my day off right (I think I just might).

There’s just nothing like putting on an absolute clinic in somebody else’s house.

Fans of a Mike Woodson team can't comprehend a 7 footer who can hit this shot.

Thing is Dakich was a huge Mike Woodson supporter. He hated Archie Miller. But he seems to be a guy that will never blame a coach that is either a friend of his or an IU alum. He only blames players
If roles were reversed, our doors got blown off, and team was lazy, and Goode was the only one playing to the end, we would be highlighting him and saying we need 15 more Goode on the roster.

If you have spare time (and face it, if you're posting on here, then you think you have spare time) this is a dandy, DANDY rant!
Within the first comment of this video....

Yes, culture is missing - whatever that means, and IU is clearly a second rate program ... but let's be clear on one very important point ... the IU brand is still top-5 and maybe #1 because of the IU history and what Bruce Pearl called the "most knowledgeable fan base in CBB" ... its still one of the truly great sports environments on the planet!

These guys are delusional.

Thank you for that substantial early morning lol. Well done. Ballo was guarding him from Kentucky on that opportunity. Not far far from Pru's crib as a matter of fact.

I don’t even think it is a question at this point. Very hard to put him above Dee, Deron, Kenny, Nick, Deon, ect but…. I don’t know the highest drafted Illini player ever, but KJ goes 3-5? That is pretty rare. If he was here for more than one year (all of the greats at Illinois did stay more than a year) he would be unreal.

In the end, he is probably the best player ever to play at Illinois? Simply crazy to even think that is a question?
FWIW Deron Williams was 3rd overall pick, 3 time NBA MVP and 2 time Olympian

Nebraska football fans COULD make the same argument. But they don't because they aren't insane.
BTW... (and this probably belongs in the 2025 football thread but you started it!) here in D.C. last evening my buddy at work and I finished a long day by going downstairs in our office building to the brew pub at ground level to watch the Kansas v. Iowa State game before heading home.

Games on as follows: The KS-IA ST game; Knicks v. Sixers; something else, and, finally, one of the TVs was playing the Illinois @ Nebraska football game on FS2. Then, after it finished, FS2 showed the Illinois v. Purdue game. My friend, who is a former Maryland basketball player from decades ago (and finally resigned to Maryland's membership in the BT), remarked ruefully (because of the complete Terp faceplant last fall under Locksley) that our football program has truly arrived if a non-BTN sports channel is rerunning our season on the air in January.
