Nice write-up from Norlander triggered from the game last night, looking back on Underwoods tenure at Illinois (in the middle of the article):

Nice, because Norlander (and CBS in general) has been an Illinois skeptic for the last few years.

What does it mean to "Mario Kart"? The old man doesn't understand verbing nouns.
I grew up with Mario Kart and now play it with my kids and I still don't know what it means.

Maybe this?

Given even one player scoring 30+ isn’t an every day occurrence and Illini have only had two do it in one game three times, I wonder when the last time 2 did it in one game for any team against a ranked opponent was. Did ESPN show such a graphic?
Dunno, I didn't search for that info . . . I think that might be a data point that's just too hard to find . . .

Interesting perspective here from FAU fans (go easy on the kid) :
What I don’t understand is how everyone, including this brilliant kid, dismiss a loss to Bryant. They should be proud of how they played us

It's who he is and it likely won't change. As Nietzsche noted: "Be careful, lest in casting out your demon you exorcise the best thing in you." I've grown to understand the wisdom in that maxim over the years.

I'll miss the guy when he's gone (CoHawk, not Nietzsche ;) )
When CH scores, I now view that as a plus. Keep playing the defense, get rebounds on both ends and hit an occasional three-pointer within the flow of the offense, of course. I also think he can post up more, back people in and shoot a very effective baby-hook.

Hey where is the poster who wants to hire Dusty May because Brad yells to much and it’ll never work?
I do love BU's style, and I think he's only going to get better. Last year, I was a little perplexed on how he ran the team. I felt BU, especially after his tirade, catered to Mayer, which allowed Mayer to play hero ball and destroy any team chemistry. I wasn't there, but it just seemed that way. And I felt that bothered BU as well.

Just keep being you, BU. Hopefully, the Illini will get a good seed, and you'll get to that Sweet 16.

Kind of like we are playing now except with Harmon in place of Quincy? Considerable let down in defense with that trade.
I don't really think trading Quincy for Harmon is a huge drop off defensively other than losing some size and it's a far more potent lineup offensively.

LET’S GOOOOO!!!!! Man, this team is fun to root for…infinitely more than last year’s team.

* Domask is a straight dog! We haven’t had a guy who can get a bucket like him in I don’t know how long.

* Shannon is the best all around Illini player in a long time. I said what I said.

* Hawkins is a bipolar player - spectacular and then maddening.

* Great minutes from role players.

* Tremendous coaching. Just kept exploiting mismatches all night.
I think Hawkins is finally getting a game face anger and letting it work for him .
Arguing calls does not get it -Hawkins game face will .

Did anyone else notice Quincy actually won the opening tip, but hit it right to an FAU player? In the Rutgers game, he didn’t leave his feet. We don’t win many opening tips.

It looked like a poor toss. I think we didn't react to the tip because we were expecting a whistle. By the time we realized there wasn't going to be one it was to late and resulted in an easy basket for fau.
