Sorry if this was already covered, if it was I didn't see it. Is BTN going to have a replay of this game in the next day or two like they did in previous years for the btn+ games?

If we don’t start playing some zone we are in trouble. I saw so many players go under screens. Disappointed we didn’t see a bunch of it today. There is nothing wrong with playing a zone on defense, never understood Underwood’s distaste for it.
There are way too many shooters in college to play zone outside of just to show occasionally show different looks to an offense.

Jim Boeheim even gave up playing zone his last couple years.

Its also something you don't necessarily want to put a lot of tape out there of playing zone if you want to break it out in certain matchups.

The last exchange of Brad's press conference was really insightful in my opinion:

Question - "You've alluded to it a couple times wanting to get more from Andrej beyond just his scoring, what is the back and forth like between you guys and what do you hope that next level is for him?"

Brad's response - "See how quick he got subbed out? That's back and forth. There's not much back and forth. There's you either do it or you just gotta come [out]. What did he have at half? How many points did he have at half? Two? Yeah. You know how many rebounds he had at half? Zero. So there's a direct correlation between him doing all the other things and getting invested in those things and being on the court long enough to actually score 18 in a half. I know he can do that. We just- it's all we keep demanding from him. He can be an outstanding, elite player with those other things because he can go do them all, he just has to want to go do them all, and it's my job to make him want to go do them all."

Brad obviously doesn't listen to the media nor does he need to, but it's nice to hear him address this issue that's been swirling around the media since the Texas Tech game.

💯 That and Petro were the 2 things I was looking for in this game. We got very little of either.

We were gonna wax LIU whatever we did because of the talent and physical disparity. This was a scrimmage to practice for the future.

Brad can rant and rave about the defense today. Quite frankly the effort was atrocious and can get away with it against LIU. It's also on him and staff to scheme to his talent. This is not a good defensive TEAM. Tomi can barely move right now. Good teams are going to pick apart him/Z in man on the perimeter like Bama.

Strong first half. Pretty sloppy in the second.

One thing that was really fun to watch this game was the amazing footwork by Wagler in the lane and around the basket. That, and his effort on defense and with rebounding. It will take time for him to gain confidence with elite competition, but that young man is something special.

Petrovic is obviously working his way back into shape, but the 22 year old who played professionally getting his pocket picked multiple times by LIU level players is something to keep an eye on.
He dribbles way to high and far from his body. Mirk does the same thing.

Once we know who plays best together and consistently hard. Shrink rotation to 8 and go with it. Simply can't have continuity with 9 and 10 playing.

Ya he was forcing it against multiple defenders but on other occasions he went by his defender and was 5 feet in front of them driving towards the basket much as Braden Smith is able to do. I am looking forward to a lot more of that. If he can break down defenses like that with regularity we truly do have final four potential.

You make a good point, but, like Tomi, he's still working through injury status. He only played 9 minutes when Davis and Lee played 13 and 14 respectively. We need to be patient and optimistic about all our players; let's give them time to build some team chemistry. Thank the Good Lord we've got Kylan, hale and hearty!

For BIG+ standards, I thought the broadcast was professional aside from the loose tie and the crazy hair of the analyst. Audio volume dropped at one point. For some reason my firestick would pause the game a couple of times mid-broadcast. First game it was almost every commercial break.

Wagler is amazing as a freshman. Absolutely smooth and crafty. That one play in the lane where he spun like three times and then stepped to the hoop!
