What was encouraging in the blurb was that Carmoni Green is enrolling early with Carney also

I agree. They've probably signed their financial aid papers by now and will be here in January. Both of these guys are going to be day one contributors. Great gets by the staff.

Interestingly, if the Illini were to land Jeff Thomas, it would result in a new 247 Calculated Class Score of 187.97 and vault from 10th into 5th place in the Big Ten. I know the classes are obviously still in flux, but that just gives you an idea of how big a get Thomas would be.

Thomas and Lawson together probably add 2-3 more wins.....bowling would be nice for once

You are getting overly excited. We have no idea if Lawson will do anything. I like the chances, but I don't see a bowl next year.

We are moving that direction though.

I love this kids confidence. Also like the updated H&W 6'3 251lbs. Him and OO at DE with K.Green at DT is a SOLID 3 man addition to the DL group.

man, I'm so excited. I haven't been this excited for Illini football in awhile. I'm curious though..is Kendrick Green going to be playing OG or DT?

Although Thomas would be a great get, I think this is overstated. I think this shows that the coaches have us one or two recruits away from top 5.

I seen the article where they said he was 251 as well...can't remember if it was scout...orange and blue or the news gazette
