We are seeing why they offered Singletary now. Callender and Bagner both gone. Our only other hope at DE besides Singletary, Is Debose. It sounds like Debose liked his visit a lot after not having any expectations before about Illinois. Could this be like Boyd?

Jamal Woods is also visiting us on the 27th. Woods was offered by Phair during an in-home visit in December:

Jamal Woods (Hueytwon, AL) Hueytown
Woods is the latest recruit that the Illini have offered during this current recruiting blitz they are on. He was offered in person by Mike Phair who was visiting the defensive lineman. He is currently committed to Memphis and the Illini will need to work quickly if they want to land Woods.

I would expect us to end up with Woods and Singletary.

I don't think they wanted Callender. Not sure on Bagner.

To Title and coach Sunkett, I'd like to apologize for everyone on this board for anything said to this point that was hurtful. We love the fact there is an in state school that produces so much talent, and especially speed. From this point forward, we will refrain from talking about ESL athlete's academics and concentrated on their amazing talents. The Illini and the Flyers can help each other out. Let's be a team, provide some great opportunities for ESL kids and win a bunch of football games!

Exactamundo!

Lovie is taking everything ( thats everything ) to a new level.

That includes relationships.

Love the pictures of Lovie meeting in home with an athlete and his family.

I don't think there was interest in Callendar after we landed Carney, and losing Bagner isn't a big deal IMO provided we still come home with two upside DEs (Debose + 1 seems most feasible). We also have yet to see the full scope of the 5th year market, so that will be an area to keep an eye on.

Regarding '18 rides, I'd be really surprised if we didn't wind up with at least 15-20. Right now I believe we have 11 (unless Cain's transfer is included in that 11 count?), and I would expect to see a few more open up pending normal attrition.

Regarding ESL, I think we should all just move on, there's no way to conclude anything with any certainty there as all sources will have bias and nothing more concrete than that will become available.

Do we have a full visit list for this weekend compiled? Palczewski is certainly the biggest name, would love to get him locked up ASAP.

James Knight can be Clayton Fejedelem. Add strength and technique and you have a SS who you can scheme the ball to and make the tackle in open space.. Happy to have him on board.

We have an official spokesperson. Thanks Genesis.

As was already mentioned, we got a CB for Torri Singletary and he is visiting on the 27th. However, in the past 24 hours he has also picked up offers from Tulane and UMass and it appears that he will be taking official visits to those schools as well:

Estes was committed to Mizzou, not WMU.

I'm not going to touch the grades thing, but suffice it to say we were eager to be in the Rey Estes business if that put us in the Jeff Thomas business, and now that's no longer a possibility.

He was originally committed to Fleck, then Mizzou because it was P5. Not a big surprise Fleck flipped him once PJ got to Minny.

He committed to WMU in February and flipped to Missouri when they offered him in August.

EDIT: miketherevelator beat me to this.

Estes appears to have had very little impact on JT's recruitment. Missouri had been dropped from JT's list for quite some time even with Estes committed there. That's really what prompted all of the "experts" to make CB prediction for Thomas to Missouri and they were wrong.

I would have been excited to have Estes but like Title said he was never interested in us. He's a tough kid who rebounded from a pretty bad car accident to have a great Senior season. I wish him luck, except against the beloved.

I never understood the hype on Estes, doesn't look like a P5 player

Seems like Estes was committed there in name only for a good long while now.

If Minny gets Thomas (and I'm getting ahead of myself even suggesting that, but still), that's going to be really, really upsetting.

Not upsetting at all. Best of luck to Estes with Minny, but not sure it will be at QB. Never know though.

what do people feel is our biggest needs with the remaining scollys ?

I think we need to find 3 or 4 more OL,2-3 DT 2DE then maybe DBs and a TE If we can land a stud WR or RB I wouldn't mind but really not looking at either as a need to add, unless they are studs thoughts ? ? ?

I don't think they want to add anymore DTs and 4 more OL seems like a lot. DL started as the biggest need and still is IMO. 3 more in the very very least and hopefully 1 or 2 of those are upperclassmen adds.

TE they need one, but they seem confident they'll be landing Dorsey soon. WR down to Roberson and Thomas. They'd take both. RB they definitely seem done with, although epstein is weirdly getting a lot of late interest.

I do think they want another QB. I just don't know of any names they're currently recruiting. Probably pretty picked over too.

ok maybe I should say 4/5 more DL/OL size guys and figure out where they would help most . I wonder if any of the FR OL that didn't play might be looked at to move over to the DL I just think you should add at the very least 4 OL per year and 3DT
